Product is good. I use it daily. No allergy issues and I break out from other lip balms.
This lip balm has a great scent and taste, and has transformed my lips from rough and dry to hydrated and super smooth. You will not be disappointed!
I've used other natural ingredient lip balms and this one goes on smooth and doesn't get that waxy sticky feeling on your lips. I love to use this before I go to bed, it goes on smooth and I wake up with soft moisturized lips. I really wish they would make a lip balm that has sun protection as well so I can protect my lips and still have soft moisturized lips.
I recently bought the Lip Rescue w/ Shea Butter and it worked wonders for my lips so I went online to purchase the other two with Tea Tree Oil and JoJo Oil! They have been little miracles for me and my lips during this CRAZY weather in Upstate SC! Thanks Desert Essence for making dependable products, I carry them everywhere I go!
This keeps my lips from dehydrating in the sun and it smells great! I love it.
We have Canadian winters with -40C temps and strong winds, and my 10yr old son licks his lips all the time in winter. He develops eczema around his lips that gets so angry he looks clownish, but I assure you, it's no laughing matter. The sore area cracks and flakes and breaks open and causes him great pain, causing him to run for the ice packs more often than not to try to find some relief from the burning pain. We've bought so many over the counter lip treatments! At that level of skin injury, that pleasant tingling we all love in our lip balm does nothing but burn in the worst way and is far from pleasant. Even the balms that don't tingle or others that are medicated all hurt, and their effect is minimal. I tried him on some natural balm I had picked up, and it didn't burn, but it smelled terrible! He hated it! By the time I found Lip Rescue, my son would immediately react with fear as soon as he saw me coming with the latest product and would take protective measures to try to prevent application of said product. After I got this one on his lips, he literally sank with relief into his pillow, happy that it did not hurt and did not seriously offend his nose. By next morning, the improvement was remarkable. We view this product as an essential component to our "home pharmacy" and I have now run out to buy several more tubes so he can leave one in his coat, one in his school desk, one at daddy's.... for us, this product is the equivalent to an asthmatic's need to keep their puffer close. I HIGHLY recommend it to all!
Unfortunately, I do not feel it moisturizes my lips enough. It's okay but I wish it did better at moisturizing. I do like the scent of mint in it though.
This used to be One of the few lip bombs that wouldn't make my lips peel. But now they have changed the formula and it makes my lips peel. I thought maybe it was just one flavor, but then I tried all the flavors and they all made my lips peel. It's not the Jojoba oil. So disgusted with Desert Essence. I won't be ordering from them again.
I opened this lip balm (seal was unbroken and there is a sign that it should be used 12 month after opening the product) and it smelled terrible and has a texture of glue stick. I threw it out into a trash without using it once on my lips. I tried a bit on the back of my hand and I had serious difficulties to rub it off, it was sticky and disgusting).
The description says a case of 24. I received 1 tube. Too expensive for only 1 tube! Never buy again.
