I was quite surprised how sturdy this was. It arrived in a few days & it was packaged very well. I bought this as a gift for a relative. It made for the perfect gift to the person that has everything. They were very Pleased!
Well made and good size for our garden.
As I already have 7 of the more mundane style bird(actually nesting) houses in our yard, I thought that this would add the appropriate whimsical touch which it certainly does. The mounting leaves a little to be desired especially on rough tree bark but after replacing the screws in the mounting plates, it is hanging on our sycamore tree. Another hint: I drilled a 5/16 inch hole in the center of the bottom for drainage. I was afraid that with the tongue design acting as a trough, the bottom could fill with rain water and cause any inhabitants some distress! Now I'm waiting for nesting season to see if there are any brave takers.
This is a beautiful garden statue, well made, and hefty. I was afraid it would be too lightweight for our wind, but it is solidly built, and gorgeous in my garden.
I haven't taken her outside yet. I just keep bringing cut flowers to her arranged inside. Someday it might find her way outside.
I recently ordered the Cat-Astrophe sculptural birdhouse and I love it,it really adds a lot of character to my garden.Everytime I look at it or any guests I have over it always brings out a smile and when a bird actually uses it, it is hilarious. Design Toscano has a lot of wonderful garden items and items for inside your home that I look forward to purchasing in the future.
