Just installed on our bbq island. provides great light and easy to use. Does require hardwiring which was not a problem as we had a power in the island.
Excellent quality, brightness and flexibility. This is actually the second of these I've purchased. It is so good, didn't need to look much further. It is hot burning halogen, so the same in LED would be a better option for cost of power, but you don't have this on much really.
Excellent and durable light. I had the exact same one for ten years, mounted beside my outdoor grill. The old still worked, but was showing signs of age so I changed it. The only drawback was that the black and white wires provided could have been stripped back (the wire plastic coating) to allow for an easier connection to the power wires. I probably should have striped them back an other half inch BEFORE I installed the unit on top of the grill.
Installed professionally on my new barbeque station. The first night I went to use it the light failed to stay on. The halogen light seems to be overheating and turning itself off. It is not reliable. Waiting to see what Hayneedle will do about it.
I called Hayneedle specifically to ask if the light already had a cord like it listed on the description, and I was told by the representative on the phone that it had a 6ft. cord and I could just plug it in. However, the light only has a positive and negative lead that is 6 inches long, and so I now have to wire the light to make it operational. I am very disappointed with the product, as I will now have to crawl under my barbecue and rewire this light. If I knew this is what I would have had to do, I would not have purchased the light. Make the description accurate and don't misinform your customers. I will not be buying from your company again.
