I have very thick, curly hair and it is a nightmare to get the kinks out. Even on dry hair, this brush worked so quickly. I couldn't believe it. I never even think about running a comb or brush though my hair when it's dry. This brush not only detangled it, but I had way less shedding than I normally do. After shampooing, I used it on soaking wet hair to see the difference. It was 10 times more awesome; as if it wasn't already. The spacing of the bristles is the magic. They're far enough apart, and just flexible enough to give when they run into a kink in your hair. The flexing to avoid ripping through a knot, is actually what helps detangle it that much faster. In just two to three passes, I was though a section of hair. At first glance, I was not convinced this brush would detangle my hair. The bristles were spaced far apart and were very easily bent to either side. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend this product for detangling hair. I tend to be the person who wants something to do everything it possibly can, so up until now I genuinely believed that one brush is all anyone should really ever need. I have hair that goes to just above the bottom of my shoulder blades. About half the time I leave it loose so it ends up pretty tangled. The rest of the time it is up in a ponytail (which has its own difficulties when brushing out). To cut to the chase, this brush is wonderful at de-tangling! It does exactly what it claims to do. There are no longer painful snarls that can take minutes to work through from the bottom up. What used to take five to ten minutes to do (tame a windblown mess) now takes a minute or two. It works best on dry hair, but has no problem with wet hair, either. It is also quite beautiful, with a real wooden handle. The only thing wrong with it is that it is not a brush that helps you move large amounts of hair at once. For example, you can't make it brush your hair up into a ponytail very easily, because the bristles are just too soft. As a result, I now have two brushes: this one to brush with first, and a regular one to do the heavy lifting. And for once, I am perfectly content with a single-function item!
My daughter has waist length curly thick hair and can only brush her hair when wet or her hair fluffs really bad. So, she tried this brush on her tangled wet hair. It works like a dream. She loves this brush. What used to take her 20 minutes to get the tangles out of her hair takes only 5 or 6 minutes to brush her hair with this detangling brush. Would recommend to anyone with unruly hair.
I am definitely going to purchase more of these brushes. I have long thin frizzy hair that gets knotted up so quick And easy especially when in the heat. This brush leaves My hair tangle free and it doesnt pull my hair out !!! Maybe now i wont lose so much hair in the shower.
I have very thick coarse hair. so much so, that every 8 weeks I must get it trimmed and thinned because if I don't, I end up with awful migraines because my head just can't handle the amount of hair on my head. That being said, even after I get my hair thinned It is still very thick and coarse. This brush is light weight, and sturdy. It does a great job of detangling your hair. Please keep this in mind, it does not do so without some snags. It is not a perfect brush, detangling very thick hair is a pain, and sometimes causes snags and it hurts. This reduces the amount of snags, but not eliminating them completely. The bristles are flexible, and not very thick, but they are stiff enough that if you have a very sensitive head, like i do, that pressing too hard against the scalp can be irritating. The company that makes the brush makes mention that you should brush from the bottom of your hair to the top of your head, i think this is important to mention since this will help control breakage and snags. it can be used wet or dry, but they also mention that best results would be to brush out the dry hair before washing.
Surprisingly it does detangle the hair, I have always heard about the detangling brushes but never actually thought that they would actually work as advertised. To my surprise, it works great! It leaves my hair tangle free in no time at all. Thin plastic bristles get right through the toughest tangles and definitely leave hair damage free as much as possible. I love that this brush is made with a bamboo handle, it is wide enough to get a good grip and get those tangles out. This brush really does work, believe it or not, and the good thing is that it's very easy to clean, the bristles located good distance from each other which leaves enough space to get through and clean out all the hair. I enjoy using this brush and definitely recommend it to everyone who has got medium to long length hair, or just curly hair that constantly tangles up.
I have three daughters. They all have long hair. Their hair reaches under their waist. It's a chore to keep their hair brushed all day long. Usually, it means a few minutes of brushing it several times a day. Not too long ago, they all went on an afternoon drive in a convertible. It wasn't the first time, but I usually braid their hair before their ride. This time I didn't. After the ride, they all jumped in the pool. And after the pool, another ride to “air-dry” the hair. We all regretted it. They all ended up with a mega knot that left few lose strands. To make things worse, knowing I'd be upset, they hid it under hats, caps, and buns. A few days later, I ask them to brush out their hair to practice their hairdo for my parents golden anniversary celebration. That's when they tell me what happened. I spent three hours with one girl trying to undo her knot. Thought about the clippers the whole time but they are growing out their hair to donate their brains when they turn 12. Just when I was about to give up, the mail arrived. The package was this detangling hairbrush! It went into use immediately. For 3 hours, I'd gotten about 1/3 of the knot undone. With this hairbrush, I finished the rest in 2 hours. The tangles were so bad that it ripped off a few bristles when trying to clean off the hairs from the brush. The other two girls also took about two hours. That's still a long time, but would've been worst without it. This brush saved the day and my girls were able to have decent hairdos for the celebration.
This is amazing detangling brush and it is 100% bamboo. It is completely organic and perfectly safe for young children and the environment. When I first got this brush, I wasn't sure how well it was going to work because the bristles were so thin, not what we were normally used to using. Surprisingly I was wrong. The thin bristles made it easier to brush through my daughter's tangles. When it got to the tangles that would normally get stuck in the bristles, these would bend instead of holding on tight to the tangles to push through causing the hair to be ripped out. The engineering with of thin bendable bristles, has made it less painful when doing my daughter's hair, for the both of us. Also, there was not a lot of hair left in the brush after doing her hair. I have yet to try this brush on my hair which is a little bit thicker and curlier than my daughter's. I am sure that it will work just fine on my hair as it has done surprisingly well with my daughter's hair. This brush also kept her curls in her hair. Our other brush that we normally use is a flat brush with thicker bristles, and that usually leaves both of our hair detangled but flat and straight. My girl was able to keep her curls after getting her hair brushed while it was dry.
I'm very impressed with this Beauty By Earth hair brush. My hair tends to get very knotty. I have longer hair & usually I dread brushing my hair. But with this hair brush, it gets out all my stubborn knots without any pulling. The brush is also made from 100% bamboo, so it's well made & made from a renewable resource. I can honestly say that this is the best hair brush that I have ever used. I have never been able to brush thru my hair this easily with any of my previous hair brushes. If your looking for a hair brush that easily gets rid of knots and tangles without frustration or tears, then look no further than this hair brush. You won't be disappointed.
This is a beautiful brush! It's has a sleek and shiny finish that showcases the 100% natural bamboo oval base flawlessly. Even the little b stamped on the handle symbolizing the Beauty by Earth brand feels classy and elegant. That said, this brush did nothing to untangle my thick, dark Sicilian-Italian hair, despite claims on the packaging that it's made for all hair types. The bristles simply are way too thin and flexible to be effective on thick, dense, or coarse hair. I was lucky to get one knot out of my hair within ten minutes of brushing. However, I decided to try it on my three year old's baby fine hair (she inherited from her daddy's side of the family) and it worked immediately and quite effectively - gently detangling knots from her sensitive little scalp with ease and no tears! My three year old inherited her baby fine hair from her grandmother, so I asked her if I could try the brush on her hair and, again, it worked wonderfully - gliding through her hair with nice clean strokes. Conclusion: This brush works great on thin, soft, and fine hair, but I would not recommend it for thick, dense, or coarse hair.
