Vegans, no matter how good their diets, are frequently deficient in vitamin B-12. I personally tend to be anemic if I don't supplement. This is a convenient way to get both supplements. Deva makes high quality, affordable vegan supplements. It can be challenging to find regular supplements that don't use gelatin (animal derived). I also use the Deva multi-vitamin mineral.
