This is a great product, especially when the lights go out. It provides a good deal of general light and has a reasonable battery life. One of the great things about it is the fact that it uses the same batteries as my drills and other cordless tools from Dewalt. The fluorescent style is a little out of date. Dewalt could make a significant improvement to this light by switching to LED's, better light (5,300 degrees would be like daylight) and significantly extend the battery life. I bought this one because we were fighting over the one we already had during our 6-days without power from hurricane Sandy. Both went to family members in NJ who were without power for an additional 4 days. It was cheaper than the candles my wife bought and a lot more useful in the long run. Delivery to my local Walmart was quick and easy.
