[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the vac after many years of Prospecting Crevices for gold. I have recovered more gold since I've been using it than all the years that I used just my hands. I have went through several hoses and vac accessories than the vac. I will purchase another when this vac dies. 5 stars
I really like the size and power it has. It's not in the way when your not using it. Easy to load and unload from the truck.
I was drawn to this little vac for it's portability and how well made it is. I really like the fact that the long and narrow attachment is integrated into the handle, that is a really smart design. This vacuum is perfect for what I need it for. It should not be purchased as a (Primary) shop vacuum as it is designed to be portable - hence the option for 120V or 18-20V batteries. This thing works great for small jobs. Also, the bottom has a really neat little reservoir that holds debris and it is very easy to dump. This thing is awesome for what it is!
I bought a week ago and have used almost every day. To [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I use this vacuum on every job. I only have two complaints: 1) The exhaust port is on the same side as the suction, so I have to cross draw the hose over the vacuum so the exhaust doesn't blow into my dust pile. Or aim the exhaust away from your work. The hose is only so long, so when trying to maximize the length will point the exhaust to the debris pile. 2) I don't like the rounded corners, 4 times the vacuum has fell off my utility cart and rolled.
This vacuum works really good. I love having a nice portable unit that I can quickly clean up a mess with. My only complaint is that the hose keeps coming out as I use it. I did a quick fix with a screw in the top to keep it from turning.
First use was to vacuum my car with a 1.5 ah battery to see how long it would last. Just made it. I'm sure with the 2.0 batt it would perform better. Wish it had a dusting attachment to use on the dash. Other than that I'm happy with it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All my cordless tools are are DeWalt and they don't disappoint except this week hunk of garbage. I literally brought a Milwaukee M12 that has a lot more power than this thing and gave my DeWalt vacuum to my coworker.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me preface by saying that I own all DeWalt tools. I pick on Ryobi guys, I take pride in owning quality and DeWalt hasn't let me down...until this vacuum. It sucks, in so many ways. First, try to vacuum, this thing has one job. Miserable fail, zero power. If you manage to pick up some random dust bunnies, try dumping the canister. Terrible design, this thing makes a bigger mess than it can clean up. Rare miss. Buy a Ryobi vacuum I guess.
I have been through three of these. None lasting more then a couple of weeks. I took the first one to the dewalt warranty location. They had to fix something on the mother board. But then it gave out again my second time using it. So I bought another one. Same thing. Took it back and replaced it. Again. It gave out. So I took this one apart myself to see what it was. I'm a dewalt guy through and through and stand by their name. But dang, this product has done nothing but let me down, every stinking time. It sure makes it hard to run a business if your tools don't work.
