My child has taken this allergy reliever and I must say it works great! Less runny nose, less sniffling, almost completely symptom free! At the time when I received this only I had been sick so I ended up taking it my self. I thought the flavor was good, grape but not overly sweet and sugary like other children's medications. After I took the medication I felt a lot better and I took if as directed for a few days until my cold went away. It worked great because although I had a cold I was also having some classic allergy symptoms to such as sneezing, watery and itchy eyes and so on. We both didn't despise the taste. It tasted similar to grape kool aid. It worked very well to relive nasal congestion and reduce coughs. I have taken original grape cold and allergy liquid since the 70s. My child took ot occassionally, although he did not get sick often. I had allergies all the time so I was a regular. The purple grape is the best for runny nose.
Both my 16 year-old son and I both used this for allergy relief. It worked great and fast, and for us there was no drowsiness. I highly recommend this, plus it tastes great! My nephew is very picky about what he takes, when he's sick. He won't take stuff if it tastes bad. He loved this one kind but we haven't been able to find it. I seen this, knowing he likes grape, and decided to try it out. He was hesitant, but finally took it. Then licked the container clean, lol. This stuff worked as expected. It didn't make him drowsy, but he started feeling better after a couple of hours. After a couple rounds of this, and plenty of rest, he was his old self again. The sneezing and runny nose stopped and he wanted to eat again. We have learned when medicines don't work as expected to not continuously keep giving it to them in hopes it will. Dimetapp is a trusted brand. I remember seeing this as a staple for treating common colds and coughs growing up. Now as a Mom to 3 children myself, I choose to give my children the best when it comes to relief and effectiveness for their cold and allergy symptoms. My grandson really liked the flavor of this product. Most of the time it's a fight to get him to take it. It helped him get comfortable and he was able to nap. This is a great product highly recommended.
