This product works well. It picks up dog food, cat food, fur everything that I don't want on my hard wood floors. Would definitly recommend this product to others.
I really love this product. I have two small children who like to eat at the kitchen island on bar stools. Kids are kids, and they get crumbs and junk all over the floor. I have tile floors and it seemed like I was just sweeping stuff down in the grout lines and not into the dust pan. My vac wasn't the greatest in picking this up either unless I got down with the hose and that didn't always get it. So I tried the Broom Vacuum. It works great! I've only had it a short time, but it gets down in the cracks and picks ALL the stuff up even parts of nacho chips. It is also easy to empty out. Works great in the bathroom to pick up long hair too. It can stay on the charger constantly without fear of hurting the overall battery life - at least that is what the instructions say. So if you are tired of sweeping and bending over with a dust pan, this is an easy way to go.
This product is great for tile or other smooth finish floors - not suitable for carpet. The weight of the machine is what keeps it from getting a 5 star rating. It's a little heavy for myself, however; someone younger and in better health will have no problem with the weight. Great product.
I would have been happier with the products performance if it was say in the $30 price range. I didn't realize you had to sweep everything up and then turn it on....I thought you would turn it on then just sweep around....but it is better and easier on my back than bending over with the dust pan. I am happy I have it I just expected a little more.
This broom is very hard to sweep with. It is much heavier than I thought and had I known that it was going to be a problem using it, I would have kept my Swifter vacuum. After watching the commercials over the last 3 months I decided that it was just what I needed. I was very disappointed. If I had kept the packaging I would definitely return it to the store.
This is great for super light duty cleaning of hard floors. As far as using it to actually sweep, the bristles are way too short to accomplish much. If you need something to get at the dust bunnies or get the crumbs off the kitchen floor, you will feel like this loves you so much. If you're looking for it to pick up anything heavier than 1/2 a cheerio (not it doesn't pick up a whole one any quicker than you could bend over and throw it out anyway) then you'd be better off with a stick vacuum. Once this is getting shabby, that's what I'll probably buy. The best part about it, it looks really cool.
A broom that vacuums is a great concept but this product needs improvement. You have to sweep in a certain angle or you don't get everything. Same is true with the vacuum function. The broom is actually quite heavier than I anticipated and it's really too thick to get under the edges of couches or cabinets. Overall, I'm rather disappointed and I plan to return the product.
I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE BROOM VACS AND NEITHER OF THEM WORK--ONE WAS ACTUALLY A GIFT IN A SECRET SANTA GAME AND I AM LOOKING FOR THE RECEIPT SO THE WINNER CAN TAKE THIERS BACK--IT DOES NOT STAY CHARGED-DOES NOT PICK UP ANYTHING--AND IS REALLY HEAVY AND AKWARD FOR ITS INTENDED USE--PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SKIP THIS PRODUCT!!!
Terrible design, heavy and doesn't pick up anything. You can't sweep with it because it's too heavy and the suction doesn't pick up anything but dust. Plus, the rubber gasket inside broke after only a few times emptying the cup, and now it is just a 50 dollar doorstop. Don't buy this piece of junk.
I was interested when the commerical for the dirtdevil broom came out and excited when I could purchase at Walmart online. I have 2 kids, 3 dogs and 6 parakeets in the house. I am constantly sweeping up dirt from the kids, hair from the dogs, feathers and seed from the birds, and using the regular broom and dust pan. I thought I could sweep and it would suck up all the dirt. Wrong, The bottom part of the broom is heavier than the top part, even at 4 lbs, which made it a little difficult. Also, you have to keep the filter clean and empty the cup (which was hard for me to remove). Also, after so many uses you would have to replace some of the foam parts on the bottom. I still felt, it did not have the suction for all of the bird seed. It was just easier for me to sweep with a normal light weight broom and dustpan and not have all those worries. I returned it to the store
