I owned a similar vacuum for years and when my son dropped it down the stairs I decided to go with something "bigger" with all of the attachments. I was completely disappointed with it's performance in comparison to my Dirt Devil. The replacement stopped working after only a few months so I just recently purchased the most similar Dirt Devil I could find. I love it!! It is so small and lightweight but cleans amazingly. It does really well on the stairs and is the perfect size to take care of them. I'll never switch to another brand again. I love to vacuum now that I have this vacuum.
After spending a lot of money on the Infiniti vacuum, thinking it would do such a wonderful job I was a little let down so I took it back and decided to go simple. I was a little skeptical since this vacuum is so compact but was pleasantly surprised. I think the first person was right by saying the less attachments the better the suction... it really works great! I got it home, pulled it right out of the box and went to work. It pulled so much junk from my carpet even though I had already gone over it with the Infiniti. I am SOOO happy with my purchase. I have a small house so having a small vacuum is great for storage. I picked up a handheld cordless vac for the couch, corners etc., rather than having the handtools. I love that this vacuum doesn't have all the extras, it's very simple and it works great. My only con is that it's pretty loud but I will gladly take the noise if it's getting the job done.
Okay so just let me tell you that I have gone through at least 6 vacuums if not more in 2007. The majority of my home is hard surfaced with carpet in bedrooms and this vacuum ROCKS! I have spent so much money on expensive vacuums with crazy attachments that have let me down one after another. I'm so serious when I say that this is the BEST vacuum I have ever bought, I use to have problems with vacuuming a room and having all the dirt shoot out the back of the vacuum cleaner and not picking up anything on the floor. I have pets one that leaves mounds of hair all over the house and this small machine will pick up everything. I think I have finally figured it out, the less or no attachments the vacuum comes with the better it is. So if you are looking for an awesome vacuum don't waste your time looking anymore this is the one. :D
Well I just got this product today, after my other vacuum got clogged up too badly to repair and lost suction. (Mostly due to my new carpet) So I went in Walmart to get another vacumm but the one I orginally wanted was sold out. so I decided what the heck I'll buy this one instead and if it doesnt work I can just bring it back. Well to my surprise when I got it home I just popped it out the box put the handle on and proceeded to vacuum my floor full of cereal thanks to my two boys 2&3 yrs of age and I was amazed at the results. Now for the honesty part. Here are my Pro's and Con's.... Pro's *Its light *Very good suction(I mean it pulled up a loose string from my floor rug:) *Fits effortlessly under tables and chairs *gliding it along the edge of your hallway will grab all of the dirt out from the sides. *Worked very well on my bare kitchen floor Con's (some may not be important to some) *You have to lift the vacuum up if you wanna suck up larger items cause other wise it will just push it along. * even tho it fits under tables and chairs it is also a draw back too cause if you wanna pick up such item such as cereal you cant just tilt it back youd have to lift it up over it. (needs a lever to control the bend) * you will have to dump the dirt out often I had to after every room I did. * does not have accesories tools to come with it which would be useful if you had to clean crumbs out the couch.( But it is so light is you had a straight couch you could just pick it up and glide it over the coushions:) All in all I can deal with the Con's just so long as it last me for awhile. In which case if you dont hear anything from me its good news:) Hope this helps somone
I have used this vacuum EVERY day for over a year. I have a house full of animals and this vacuum is wonderful! This lightweight vacuum does a better job that the $500+ commercial vacuum that I bought years ago. Go figure! You will not regret buying this vacuum and you will be shocked at what your current vacuum is leaving behind in your rugs when you use it for the first time! AWESOME vacuum and an AWESOME price. But buy it in the store, it's less expensive in store than it is on line.
It is a little loud, but it does a great job. The thing I like best probably is emptying the dirt. easy as 1,2,3. This machine has great suction, no hose, no silly attachments. All it does is vacuum. I am very pleased with the vac and once again, good ol' Walmart keeps the price affordable.
I bought this vacuum cleaner two years ago, and it works great on carpet, but not on bare floors. If you try to use it on bare floors, it will simply spit the debris from the back of the cleaner and not suck it in. I also have a dog, and the vacuum cleaner works very poorly on pet hair; it clogs at least once during every use and i have to disassemble it to unclog it, which is very frustrating. On the other hand, if you don't have a pet and don't need to use it on bare floors, it's fine. The filters become clogged more frequently than the recommended 6 months, so keep that in mind when calculating the overall costs of this cleaner. They run about $10 and should ideally be replaced every other month if you vacuum regularly.
My husband bought this last year. It has been run maybe a total of 35 times, and it has lost all suction. The canister has been emptied, and the underneath has been cleaned out, also to no avail. It is definately compact, but does not do the trick.
Ive owned this vacuum for 5 months now. It was worked really well until recently. When you turn it off or lift the front end at all dust and carpet fuzzies fly out the back! I have a multicolored rug and I can see all the stuff its leaving behind! Plus, it has no attachments! Thinking about returning it to the store and seeing if I can get my $40 back! I would not recommend this to anyone who likes a clean home.
I bought this vacuum because the reviews were good and because I don't really need a "big" vacuum. We have wood laminate and tile flooring throughout our house, and just a few area rugs that need vacuuming. Well... this vacuum did a very nice job on the hard floors, but not on the rugs. The rugs I have that are very low pile (almost flat/smooth) were OK, but my big area rug seemed too much for this little vac. I had to push it with both hands and really put my back into it to make it move on the rug. It's not a shag rug either -- just a medium pile area rug. I was surpised by how difficult it was to push it on the carpet. My heavier Hoover fold-away vac (which I wanted to replace because it doesn't suck and spits trash back out all over the floor) is much easier to move across the carpet, and it's not self-propelled. If I didn't have any rugs or only had very thin, flat rugs, then I might consider keeping this vacuum, but since it won't work on my main rug that needs vacuuming, I'll be returning it.
