I have been using dirt devils for years and find the cheaper the better, very happy with the vaccum.
This vacuum is replacing a two yr. old DD Swivel Glide. I use it for janitorial work...it gets a really rough workout. I expect a vacuum to last one year! I'm buying another one while I can still find this model- the old one is still going strong. Fav features- the hose attachment is ready to use without a diverter switch, long cord, can't beat the price and powerful suction. For those who have clogging problems- watch what you are vacuuming!!! If you bend over and pick up big stuff, you won't clog your hose. If your hose isn't clogged, you won't have dirt spillback. Probably won't have stuff getting stuck in your belt and melting it.
We have had 3 of these vacuum's in the last 10 years and love every one of them. Just recently we had a bit of a problem with the hose not just being large enough for something that tried to be sucked up but I would highly recommend this for the money. Be careful as this will suck up alot of items including clothing etc. Thank you
For an older person, this is a very easy vacuum to use. No filter to clean. Vacuums quickly and the attachments are easy to use. Great value.
I have bought three of these Dirt Devils in the past 8 years. Unfortuneately I lost the first one to a moving incident and I ran over the other. I couldnt find one again in the actual Walmart store and FOUND it ONLINE only!!! I have bought others that were over $100, and this little baby just works so well why pay that much, plus it will lay all the way down to the floor which makes it great for under the beds. Worth every penny and works VERY WELL.
I found this to be a great item especially for the price. It's bigger in size than expected I liked the dirt devil ultra lite the best, but heck for 40.00 bucks this was a great deal. And no more back lash dirt and other items flying back at me like bagless vacumns do.I've bought 4 bagless in the last year and they were all terrible machines. Give me one with a bag anyday!!
This vacuum is light and works like a champ! I especially like the swivel wheels. The vacuum moves around my carpet with great ease and does a super job of cleaning. The long cord is a great convenience. I only have to move the plug twice to clean the whole condo. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone!
This is a lightweight, easy-to-manuever vacuum that does the job for a very reasonable price. This vacuum works nearly as well as the expensive bagless Hoover it replaced, for which we paid 4x the price 3 years ago.
We only had this vacuum maybe 5 days before I realized the front panel comes off with barely a touch and I had to duct tape the thing to keep it on. It got clogged so much and now it is so clogged I had to quit using the vacuum over a year ago and it just sits in my closet. The fact that the dust and dirt would fall out everytime I used the hose was annoying. But hey, I got what I paid for.
I debated on several vacuum cleaners and chose this one because of the ratings & cost. I had it sent to the store in Tuscaloosa where my daughter goes to school. I found it to be very disappointing. I used it for approximately 45 minutes on brand new carpeting and it completely shut down. I assumed it was because of a full bag so I replaced the bag and tried to continue but it never started again. I tried other plugs, etc. but nothing would make it turn on again. I had to return it at a Wal-Mart that didn't have the same model, so I ended up purchasing another brand. During the few minutes that it worked, it had good suction but it kept shocking me. I assumed it was because of the static on the new carpeting, but looking back it may have just been defective all along.
