I have COPD and it has been over a year since I have been able to vacuum more than one room a day! Since I have gotten this machine, I can vacuum 2 rooms, rest a bit and vacuum 2 more. (I have a triple wide manufactured home) Plus the ease with which it turns is a "boon". I am impressed with the sleek clean lines AND the large light in the front. Overall - a great machine!
This is a super vacuum. I love the attachments, especially the Power Brush Tool for my stairs and rugs. I bought it to replace a bagless vacuum that I had purchased for more than twice the price of this vacuum. It seems to clean just as well, but without the mess of emptying the container full of nasty dirt and pet hair from the bagless. I never want to go bagless again!
We bought this sweeper after our old one died. We had a dickens of a time getting one that still used a bag(U-Bag). The bag is very easy to remove and install, no messy cleanup. It picks up dirt really well and isn't as loud as some. The attachments work as expected, but we feel the hose could be a bit longer. Overall it seems like a good quality value. We also had it shipped for free to our Walmart, not a bad price but had to wait 7 days for it. We have had this sweeper for 2 months and use it at least once a week.
I wasn't sure at this price if this vacuum would do the job I wanted done. I have 4 cats and nothing really ever gets all the hair. So when I opened the Dirt Devil Ultra and it was so light compared to the hog I had before, I figured I could only give it a chance. The one thing I first noticed was when I adjusted the carpet level down some, it raised the pile and made those good marks that indicated it was getting deeper carpet. My carpet looks restored to when it was newer and stays that way between vacuums. And it does get more cat hair than my fancy self propelled hog and it's way more manuverable. I like it ALOT! It certainly is well worth the price and does the job I need done!
I have only used this product 3 times now. But so far it has done everything I need it to do. The head of the vacuum is quite large and is nice to quickly go over carpets. The suction tools work better than any I have ever used. I have 3 girls so we shed a lot of hair. I have noticed that hair easily gets tangled in the rotating brush at the bottom of the vacuum. I don't know if there is anything to keep this from happening though. So after every vacuum I have flept the vacuum over to pull out the extra hair from the brush so I wouldn't burn a belt or anything. Overall I like it.
the dirt Devil ultra swivel is a great cleaner and the price is great. It has an attachment to do furniture that has a hose and on the head it has a spinning brush great for removing pet hair, other vacuums I have owned and costing more did not have this feature also has great adjustment capability and is easy to manuver and also has a light on it for those dark areas.
I was tired of the BAGLESS variety...they are messier. So I opted to get the Dirt Devil with the bags and I love it. It was easy to put together, and is very light weight. The casters make it very easy to push and you don't really feel like you are vacuuming.
I had the previous version of the swival vacuum and it finally died after several years of very hard use. When I went to Walmart to replace it, they did not have any of the Swival Glide vacuums in the store so I bought a Dirt Devil Envision. That was a mistake. It has the filter in the dirt cup and with dogs, it only takes a couple of minutes to clog the filter. I then began searching the Website for something else and was pleased to find they had a Swival Glide. It's great! My only complaint about this Swival Glide vacuum is the handle appears to be a little on the short side when the vacuum is in the operation. A taller person would be leaning over to use the vacuum. Other than that, it's a great vacuum...no mess when time to empty the dirt...just change out the bag. The suction is strong enough to even remove the pet hair on furniture or carpet. The hepa filters are separate and easy to access. (Unlike the Dirt Devil Envision which has the filter in the dirt cup and clogs easily.) We're happy with this purchase.
I bought this Dirt Devil Swivel Glide model to replace a Featherlite I had bought years ago. This piece of junk lasted less than a year and I had trouble throughout. The upright release latch broke off. The belt broke TWICE! I'm NEVER buying a Swivel Glide EVER AGAIN! I do not recommend anyone get one, unless you're into throwing money away. The Dirt Devil Featherlite is less expensive and much better performance wise and durability.
I purchased this item after doing a great deal of research. I expected the product to be much more durable than it is. The plastic is cheap. I am unsure as to whether it is so flimsy so as to make the vacuum lighter or if it is bad quality. Either way, I have used the vacuum twice and it is already broken. It no longer sucks and all of the dust ends up OUTSIDE of the bag in the base of the vacuum. IT is a HUGE mess. I have changed the bags three times but that hasn't helped the problem. The BAD: I have used it twice and it is no longer sucking. The bags are very difficult to find in stores. The GOOD: Light, easy to push, lots of attachments. I am bringing this item back to the store and hoping that if I exchange it for another one, the second will work better.
