Grandmother to 9 & got this last summer for the 1 to 5 year olds (5 of them!)... kept everyone from painful sunburn and didn't irritate anyone's delicate skin...too bad (& feeling a little guilty) I didn't know about this product for the older 4 when they were little. Will use again this summer.
I really liked this sunscreen. I have complete faith in the Blue Lizard brand, but I particularly loved that the bottle turns pink when UV rays are present. I also thought as far as baby sunscreens go, this one was very easy to rub in. I would definitely recommend this sunscreen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I like the thickness of this sunscreen. Not too water or too thick. Rubs in good while also being thick enough to see the coverage as you apply. Smells better than most too. I really like the UV reacting bottle, interesting to see it change colors even in partial shade when you think baby is safe.
This is my favorite sunscreen and I use it all summer long. The best for sun protection. My only comment would be that I would like it to be waterproof or water resistant. Water resistant would be fine if they would give me some guidelines as to how long it is expected to last in water.
This sunscreen provides excellent coverage. I used on all three of my children and was very pleased. You do have to rub it in a bit longer than others but it's worth it. This is the best sunblock ever. It rubs in super smooth not pasty. The bottle changes color in UV light and I told my very fair sister to put some on in the Miami sun and she said no we are sitting in the shade under an umbrella. I pointed to my faintly purple bottle and told her she is still exposed because the bottle is changed. She still refused and got burned. This is the only sunblock I use for my family. After trying a ton of different sunscreens on my little one, this is THE ONLY sunscreen I will continue to use on him. We have been using it for the past year (he just turned 2) and it works wonders. He is very fair and burns easily. Every product I tried left a greasy feel on his skin and mine or left him so dry and itchy. This product goes on easily, rubs in well, and gives him the coverage he needs. We are now a Blue Lizard family!! It is so nice to not have to worry about it harming his skin or not protecting him enough. Thank you so much for this product!!
This product is not greasy and has a nice smell. The bottle was slightly discolored. Didn't irritate skin and went on nicely. Used this lotion last weekend at the lake. I went on smooth and had little to no smell to. It was easy to apply. My kids liked how the bottle turned pink in UV light. This lotion is good for just being outside but it is not waterproof. I suggest using a waterproof lotion if you are going to be near water. This will work fun if just outdoor no water play. I bought this kind and the sensitive adult kind for me and my daughter because I have bad migraines and sunscreen triggers them. This was supposed to be safe and effective. While it's true that it won't cause a migraine, it also doesn't offer protection. My daughter burnt even with frequent application and I am severely burnt. Not worth it if you are going to burn!!!
