My daughter loves Elmo so this bubble blower was the perfect gift for her. She spends alot of time outside playing with it and absolutely loves it! The product does not come with batteries, which I did not know. But an all around perfect gift for a child that loves Elmo and bubbles!
My one year old just loves this! She sits there and stares at the bubbles while my 4 year old runs around trying to pop all of them. The bubbles are not very big and you have to keep refilling Elmo's little bubble dish, but it makes the bubble solution last forever. It is worth it to have a toy that everyone loves.
I bought this for my 6-month old mainly to use while he is bathing. He loves bubbles! First off, the size is great to sit on the edge of the tub. We'll have to be careful as he gets older that he does not try to put it IN the tub! =o) Currently we have a blow-up bathtub (Munchkin White Hot Safety Duck Tub - an excellent product sold at WalMart!) inside the normal tub as he is too little to sit in the regular tub by himself. The Elmo Bubble Machine is a perfect choice for us to have bubbles and still have my hands free for bathing my son. The "fill" chamber is fairly small and only takes about 1 tablespoon of bubble solution. (It comes with a bottle.) The bubbles are about the size of a nickel. They are consistant in size as they are blown ... no big bubbles here! It is perfect for his tub. The delay between Elmo's blows is about 3 seconds and the quantity of bubbles is fairly consistent. The fan is not too loud; it runs constantly but it is not overwhelming. It runs about 5 minutes before you need to refill the chamber. This is an excellent product for what I bought it for and I can see us using it outside as well. However, if you have more than 1 child that wants to "chase the bubbles" outside, you might want to look for a bigger bubble-blower.
After a few minutes the motor started to sound like it was going to die, we did put Energizer E batteries in it. We will retry regular batteries and see if they worked. But my nephew absolutely loved the bubbles.
This is a very cute product.My 11 month old loves to chase bubbles and this is perfect for him without me blowing bubbles for hours.And he LOVES Elmo!!!
Well, this product DOES what it says...but it failed to mention how LOUD it would be! My daughter doesn't seem to mind the noise, and she thinks this little guy is great, which is why I would reccomend it to someone else. Perhaps the one I have is just defective, but the screeching noise Elmo's arm makes as it goes up and down is pretty terrible. I would have just returned it...but doing anything with a 20-month-old is easier said than done, besides, like I said, she loves it.
We love Elmo but he doesn't make a good bubble maker! My two year old son was interested in this until the lame, small bubbles started. There aren't many and they aren't worth chasing. Try another machine for better bubbles.
Elmo's arm broke the first week we had it.
