Love the Lego games. Adding on to my collection. Great game.
My 9 year old son begged for this game for Christmas. Santa brought it for him and it was a huge success!!! He loves it, and Santa found it cheapest at Walmart.com!
This game is awesome! I own this game myself at 33 and had a ball playing. Jack sparrow even runs arounds swaying like in the movie. So many things to do and figure out. I also bought a copy for my nephew age 10 he loves it as well.
I bought this for my 5 year old grandson. His dad says he loves to play it.
Bought the game for my son online through WM and was able to pick it up at a local store that carried it. Great price and smooth transaction. My 5 yr old loves all the WII Lego games.
Gift for six year old grandson. He loved it.
great game my son loves it!
I got it $10 off regular price, so that's a plus. Overall it's a good game for my younger son, no graphic violence, etc. I particularly like the fact that we don't have to go into the "New Game" / "Load Game" menu. (A "New Game" erases the previous progress and starts fresh. I've been guilty of ruining my kids' progress by forgetting that.) This game automatically loads when inserted.
If you like the previous Lego games then you will like this one, too. I think it is easier to play for someone who has watched the movies, but my 6 y/o grandson enjoys it and he hasn't watched the movies. I am disappointed in it not having bonus levels. Since this was based on 4 movies and only 5 places to go in each one, there was certainly room to put in some bonus levels. I paid more for this game than any of the previous Lego games so I guess I expected a little more. But it is a fun game.
I gave this to my son for Christmas last week. He's loved playing it every day. Until today. That's when he hit a game-ending bug in the game. Thankfully, his tech-savvy older brother searched the internet to find a work-around solution, but had I known about this, I probably would not have purchased the game. The disc itself is fine. It's a problem with the game. It freezes and makes a buzzing sound at the end when you are nearly completing the game. Disappointing. One solution posted below....... Per Bryant on Amazon.com's reviews for this game: The suggested change (jumping past the plants, NOT bashing them for studs) DID allow me to play through the area of the On Stranger Tides final level where the game had always frozen before. I will continue to monitor for any other freeze issues going forward, but it has resolved the one easily reproduced freeze point we had. Quoting the review, here are the steps to make the change: - From the Wii Channel menu, point to the "Wii Options" button on the screen and press the A Button. - At the next screen, point to Wii Settings and press the A Button. - In the Wii Settings menu, point to Sound and press the A Button. - Select "Stereo" or "Mono", then point to Confirm and and press the A Button. (Be sure not to select "Surround" as that seems to be the culprit) - Point to Back and and press the A Button to return to the Wii Options menu, and again to return to the Wii Channel menu. - Re-start Lego Pirates and see if it fixed the problem. ** UPDATE - 2012-Jan-08 ** With the above work-around in place; I started a new save game and was able to play the game to 100% with only one Wii system freeze. The freeze was not the same as the previous ones, it was related to the character switching. I won't up-rate this product as this is still a bug, a rather bad one, and the work-around above is not a fix by any means.
