Dolce Gabbana light blue is a great scent. The scent goes on with a very citrus like smell in the beginning but as it settles It gives more of a musk scent. The scent lasted all day and was not to heavy. Many people asked me what cologne I was wearing while out at a party. I told them light blue and they were surprised it smelled so great. After trying a different cologne sample each day, the winner that came out on top was Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme. In an instant the wife said that is the one! Which just so happens to my favorite as well. My birthday is next month and I kinda already know what I'm getting. This fragrance captures the scent of the mediterranean with ingredients such as Sicilian mandarin, grapefruit peel and juniper. Rosemary, Sichuan pepper and rosewood blend of American musk wood, incense and oak moss make it is a very light fragrance. It has the stamina to last all day and night. This is for the gentlemen who want a casual work fragrance. The longer it stays on the better it gets, which helps it turn causal into sexy by the time your heading home. I think I speak for must men when I say that when it comes to cologne must men have a fragrance that they stick with. My grandfathers scent was old spice and you would be able to tell when he was in the room. But I step out of my one fragrance box and to my surprise I liked Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme. It was a light yet masculine scent that made me feel like I was vacationing in the tropics every time I wore it. It even made me change my wardrobe because I felt like I should be wear shorts and sandals. My wife was also moved by it she said that it was on of those scents that make you want to get close to the person, which was me of course. This scent takes me to the sea on a yacht where I have flashbacks of Michael McDonald and Christopher Cross. A light, refreshing scent with hints of citrus. It is a lighter, airier scent but has a definite masculine overtone so there is no confusion. My wife gives this two thumbs up too which is probably its biggest compliment. Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme may be quite a mouthful, but it has definitely been a, and I quote, "a nose-full!" --My girlfriend. The "Light Blue" (For short) is the smoothest and, in my opinion, the best smelling fragrance out of the three, which is why I chose to focus on it for this review. The Light Blue stood out as soon as I opened the gift box. The obvious light blue packaging paired with contrasted white violently screamed for my attention as a eyed all three choices in front of me. As I sampled all three, I grew ever fonder with The Light Blue. I noticed right away the smoothness of the fragrance, while yet, somehow, still being quite bold and strong. I knew by now that this would be my favorite, as I had already tried the other two, "Boss The Scent" and "The One". The smoothness of The LIght Blue really is amazing. The other scents were just too strong and smelled too much like chemicals. Boss The Scent was the runner up, smelling slightly less powerful than "The One" but still not even close to The Light Blue. The One I found to be my least favorite, although my girlfriend liked it better than "Boss the Scent". I just could not bring myself to enjoy the scent, as the spicey ness was just not for me. My girlfriend and other family members agreed, it was just too strong when worn. For a perfume to be effective, it needs to be subtle. You don't want to walk into a room and have everyone thing "Wow, someone's wearing perfume." you want them to think; "My god, what is that smell?" or "That smells so good! Is that you?". In conclusion I believe "The One" and "Boss, the Scent" to be much too strong to be effective perfumes and I would not consider wearing them. However, I enjoyed "The Light Blue" very much and would definitely consider buying it. My family, including my girlfriend, agreed this was the best scent of the three. Many of them commented how even though the fragrance is much more smooth, it is still bold enough to be considered "Manly". Myself and my family of 9 all agreed we would recommend this fragrance to both men and women. I find this fragrance to be very light and pleasant but maybe a tad bit too light for my taste. It started off a bit harsh but quickly mellowed out quite nicely. Longevity is an issue as it seemed to die down quickly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received my free sample Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. It's a very light fragrance that smells very nice. My wife complimented me on the fragrance the morning I wore it. The colonge is a nice light fragrance but is too suble to be notice and does not have much of a lasting power.
I do wear cologne every day but I do not use âfancyâ brands. Mine usually consists of something mild from Bath & Body works. Also, I keep using a brand of cologne until they stop making it so Iâve probably only used 2 different brands in my life. When testing this, I made sure I showered each morning and made the wife check me at the end of the day to determine if the scent lasted. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue definitely lasts until the end of the day (I am very active). Itâs not as strong as the other scents but it smells like womenâs perfume. My wife agreed with me. Dolce&Gabbana's Light Blue cologne has a light sweet, citrus-y scent but unfortunately, does not last too long. I wore it at a family dinner and could not smell it after an hour or two. If you are easily overwhelmed by most cologne smells and want something really light to accentuate your natural smell, this might be product for you.
