After two days of plunging my kitchen sink non-stop, this is the only thing that worked. I used half a bottle and let it sit for 30 minutes. While it was sitting I boiled 2 large pots full of water. After the 30 minutes I poured them both down one after the other. The 1st pot just sat in the sink, but when I poured the 2nd pot in all the water drained at once.
Draino is corrosive despite the label claiming it isn't. Use only once not continuously.
I have this clog situation in my bathtub. Standing water, layers of something that looks like black seaweed coming ip when I'd plunge. Just 'ick'. I tried everything - bleach, dish soap, vinegar and baking soda, hot water and it's still not going down clear like it should. So, my friend bought some Drano Max Gel ( Pro Strength) over and I used, as instructed. I used the whole bottle, 1/2 at a time, wait, then flush with hot water (2 times) and went to sleep over night. I wake up, go in the bathroom, nothing in the tub, run the hot water - backing up again. GOOD LORD! What is going on, here! It's so frustrating. I'm typing and looking at backed up water, right now. Drano, I was rooting for you! Any other suggestions? Anyone, please? Thank you! I don't want to say that I wouldn't recommend this to a friend because it might actually help them but it didn't help me. Also, Drano - This bottle says, in bold yellow block caps - 'CLEARS TOTAL BLOCKAGES OR IT'S FREE* HELP!!
I was recommended to use this product. Had poured the whole bottle down the drain and a pot of hot water later on. But, the sink is still clogged.....
Just didnt get the job done like we had hoped. They do offer a money back guarantee, however my husband threw out the bottle before I could even get to that part ... Just go with Concentrated LYE for better results! We bought the "Instant Power" brand's 'Hair clog Remover' for sinks•Tubs•Showers. and it worked great! No more backed up tub! So unfortunately I cannot recommend the Drano brand.
The directions on how to use this product are clear and easy enough to follow. However, the results are for from what was guaranteed. I use this product to address a clog kitchen sink the day before Thanksgiving. After two attempts as directed where I ultimately used the entire bottle, the sink remains clog as if nothing was done. It has been a complete waste of time, effort and money. This product did not work.
Had a clogged kitchen sink. Went to the store and bought Drano Max gel. Follow the directions half a bottle at a time then try to rinse it down the drain, nothing. Use the second half of the bottle, waited again flushed the sink with hot water and still nothing. So I went and bought a second bottle. Again follow the directions twice. The only thing I have is a clogged sink that's now full of water instead of just slightly full of water. I'd like to find out how to get the guarantee back on these two bottles of Drano.
Used this product to unclog bath/shower drain that doesn't have the ability to remove cover or to snake out clogged hair, soap build up, etc. Used it, waited 30 minutes and then ran hot water. No results. Put in other half of 80 oz bottle and waited overnight. Flushed with hot water and still no result. 80 oz of drano and no results??! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! DO NOT BOTHER TO USE THIS PRODUCT!
I followed the instructions on the bottle. Pour 1/2, wait 15-30 min. I waited 30 min. Pour hot water. I bought a 2nd bottle and poured it all. I let it sit for 30 min then pored hot water and nothing still. Bottle says clears total blockages Guarantees! Or it's Free, so how do I get reimbursed for my purchase.
Ive had standing water in my tub since yesterday. I went today and bought Drano Max Gel as it is intended for standing water. Ive done everything it said to do on the instructions twice and still no difference. Now I have double the water in my tub and can no longer use a pluger to try and fix it
