[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this several times to recess hex nuts into plywood. Using the hex nuts to attach a 21x18x3/4 plywood piece which extends the edge of my workbench. Workbench was too thick to clamp items to. Extending the edge worked out great. Great quality, thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a locksmith and use these regularly to remove wood on locks strikes, etc. Small enough to get inside of strikes or other hard to reach areas to remove unwanted material. I definitely recommend these.
I had a pile of parts made on a 3D printer that needed rework to remove staircase artifacts and dimension adjustments to make them fit together. Some of the carving is into square corners. After trying several tools, the one that worked best was a predecessor of the 115 cutter that I found in my father's Dremel tool set, more than 60 years old. After wearing out that cutter, I needed a replacent and found the 115, which is same style and slightly larger than the old one. Mounted in a brand new 4000 handpiece, its performance is outstanding, shaving and shaping ABS plastic like butter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You definitely want this bit in your arsenal if you carve anything of a smaller nature or have fine details in your work. This bit is a monster when it comes to removing stock in small areas and perfecting the overall appearance of a project. Like many bits in its category, the blades retain a good edge, but do wear down and require maintenance. The task of correcting this issue can be tedious, and is usually accompanied with a need to clear the cutter channels as well. Personally, I hold Dremel to a higher standard and tend to be a bit hard on the tool and it's bits, resulting in overheating it at which point it can become loose, slip from the colander, and sometimes act as a projectile. Overall, I recommend this for all carving work, as well as safety glasses and the practice of not pushing your tools to extremes.

New style cutter (cutting edge straight up & down) does not work well at all for precise depth cuts in wood {{ ie. hinges , strike plates}. If depth is already cut then this one works for widening the area but not to get a level depth cut. The old style #115 had cutting edge in a spiral, I had used that style for years and never had a problem doing both cuts. Recommend old style YES Recommend new style NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
