I used these to make a marinade for shrimp...it was delicious. Not too hot, fruity and a wonderful light Smokey flavor.
Excellent product. Great flavor. Dried to just the right texture. Peppers should be dry yet still pliable and these are perfect.
These chiles are gorgeous! You can tell they were extremely healthy when harvested. I will be purchasing from this company for all of my future pepper needs!
wonderful smell. The flavor is simply amazing. I live up north and its warming up my core. The peppers are dried like raisins but not over dried to dust. Full of flavor and easy to re-plump.
Wanted to make real enchilada red sauce from scratch, and these peppers were the first item listed. Bought a bag (enough for 2 batches) and found they were easy to work with and tasted fantastic. Walmart got them to me quickly.
couldn't find any at the stores around my area so ordered these Saturday and they came first thing Monday. there was so many in the package that I'm able to use it for more than 1 recipe. price was on par with those I've seen from other sellers.
This brand of 'dried' chilies is very fresh and flavorful with the correct heat level for the type of chili pepper. But if you want a dried chili to grind-up you'll need to toast these yourself. Dried peppers should be dry while still being slightly pliable. These would remind you more of how a raisin is 'dried', still moist. But, that being said, I have to say... these peppers are excellent. Great for a few recipes as they are, and it doesn't take much to dry them further. The heat levels are right where they should be for the different types I've tried so far. I will be buying again.
when i finally opened it to use, there was spider/ bug type webbing inside
The product came with a disclaimer regarding larva and the insects they hatch. Two days later the chiles are covered in bugs. I had already double bagged them when I read the warning. I couldnt imagine how infested they are. No way am I opening them. Even though the warning says not to worry I am very concerned! When I shake the bag they come out then quickly hide again.
I ordered on the 14th. Had been sending messages to the shipper because it was not showing shipped and in order this for making receipts. Today on the 19th is is showing I received my order, and it was marked that I received it on the 15th, the day after I ordered.
