I bought this due to upcoming knee surgery and I am very pleased with it. At first the initial cost seemed high but when I received it I could see why. It is well made and sturdy and I feel less likely to fall using this aid.
Havent used it yet but as Im disabled and just need help getting in and out of the tub Im sure this will be fine. Just what I was looking for.
Big help for my 74 year old wife getting in and out of our tub safely. Falls are a big hazard, and this grab rail is just the right height. Note: This works well on a procelein tub, which has solid side. A fiberglass tub may be a problem. The handle has small raised bumps that greatly improve grip.
I got this for my mother who has balance problems and feared taking a shower. This tub grab rail gave her, her confidence back allowing her to shower without the fear of falling getting in and out of the tub. This is a very solid and sturdy grab rail and has a more generous fit than the other grab rails I tried first. It also looks very nice with its modern curves.
4/18/17 Purchased this a couple of months ago and highly recommend it. good fit...very easy to grab onto if necessary, easy to clean and also easy to tighten if necessary.
Really sturdy and easy to put up. Works wonders for my 90 year old mother.
Glad I got this stabilizing rail as a precaution. Now I take baths more often! Do not put-off getting one if you are a bit off balance. It is an aide when getting out of the tub as well, to brace. It does it's job well, but do not expect it will pull up a 250 pound person. It is just plastic and screws. My bathtub is low, and I wonder about the waterline covering the point of contact. Make sure to wash away scum when screwing closed on your tub.
Assists toilet transfers. Sturdy given my bathtub is not a basic tub and has contours. Used for a small lady with peripheral neuropathy and balance issues. Gave her independence. Looks similar in design to many other brands. Can't say how it compares but glad we found this solution.
