I have a 2 1/2 year old son who has extreamyly sinsative skin and so me and my husband had to find a new detergant to wash all are landry in. It got every thing cleaner then any detergant we have used before and it was gental enuff to use on all are landry.
I like the convenience of the product (no measuring) and the environmental packaging vs. liquid laundry detergent. A previous reviewer mentioned that it can only be bought on line. If you go to a superwalmart, you will find it. I have not been able to locate it in a traditional walmart.
My son went away to college last year and prior to that he had never done a load of laundry in his life. I saw these Dropps on some website and thought "wow what a great idea to send with my son to college rather than a large container of regular laundry detergent". Well he really liked them and he even looks forward to doing his wash. A lot of other students want to know where he got them and his roommates use his on their own laundry on laundry day, or should I say laundry month. I tried them on my own laundry and they really worked well so now I'm using them at home. Cleans everything nicely and so easy to use. The fact that it's eco-friendly even makes more sense why to use them. Considering the fact you don't need to use fabric softner I think the price is OK.
I bought this with the intention of using it for travel and I can say it does the job well. I packed a few pouches in my suitcase and washed clothes in a regular washer when we needed to freshen up some of our clothes.
This is a great product for my college age son. He can just grab a handful and head off to the laundrymat. No need to keep a big box or bottle of detergent in a small dorm room and no need to drag a heavy messy bottle to the laundrymat. All his room mates are jealous.
A total reframe of doing laundry! No more heavy jugs to lug around, no mess, no measure, just toss the dissolvable pouch in the machine and you are done. The product cleans my clothes as well as anything I have ever used and, in addition to the product being incredibly convenient, I am not filling landfills with bottles! Why can't I find this in the store?
No more measuring, pouring, messy liquids or powders everywhere. No jug or box to lug around. These are simply wonderful. They have taken a lot of hassle and mess out of doing laundry. Now if only I could find someone to put the laundry away for me when it is done. lol
I wanted something that was simple to use, (nothing to measure, nothing to spill etc) and that actually would clean my clothes. I recently purchased my HE machine and have tried all different kinds of soaps. Tide works good and the Kirkland brand is useless. This is convenient and cleans nicely. I didn't pre soak my items and it cleaned them. I will definitely purchase again. I only wish you could buy this in the store instead of having to order online.
greetings, my 82 yr old mom moved in with us several months ago.she wants to help around the house. she is not used to to front load washing machine and/or how to put the detergent / bleach / softener in thru the top. i saw the dropps and decided to give that a try. she took to it like a duck in water. she puts the clothes in. puts one or two dropps tabs on top and turns washing machine on.our clothes come out very very nice. even without the bleach and softener. she just wants to wash clothes ALLLL the time. im getting tired of putting 3 loads away at one time. but i love my mom and it makes her happy; so dropps it is. :)
Dropps are not the cheapest laundry detergent you can buy --- but you already knew that. They may be the most responsible and the most convenient, however. The packaging is minimal, and designed to reduce the carbon "footprint" by squishing 42 loads of detergent into a package not much bigger than a couple of juice boxes. It's also fully recyclable, once the detergent is gone. Each pre-measured packet fully dissolves in the wash. You just drop it in with the clothes --- no measuring, no detergent dispenser required. Couldn't be simpler. It does a good job of getting clothes clean, too, but it is definitely designed to work best in HE machines. Because it is so concentrated, the very light fragrance isn't all that pleasant when you smell the entire package. But it is so light as to be almost undetectable on the final, washed and dried load of clothes. One caution: because these detergent packs dissolve in the wash, it's very important that you keep the package tightly sealed and away from moisture!
