I moved to a condo where the kitchen cabinets are very old. The home owner has no interest in upgrading them. Cabinets are made up of particle boards in 1975 or so and the particles are leaving the board structure now. So as a quick fix, I brushed the cabinets to remove the loose particles and pasted these papers. It looked much better. I have attached photos. hope it helps.
I live in an older rental and my landlord does the bare minimum as fixing things up. She allows tenants to add their personal touch if they want to. This is very renter-friendly. Added before and after pictures. Sticks really well. Does tear a bit if you move something heavy across it. Had one spot when I put my microwave back. I repaired it no problem. I am just very happy it looks better. A coat of paint for the walls and it will make a huge difference.
I purchased this as a clear covering over some stickers I was making with my Cricut. There was a chance of rain on the day that I would be using the stickers on some signs that I was making and so in order to protect the ink from bleeding I wanted to put Over it. I put the clear covering on over the image before I cut it out with my machine and it worked out great.
Found this shelf liner, very easy to apply and it's repositionable if you get it slightly off kilter. The best part is the marble design which matches my countertops! Also a great sale price.
I have a TV table and side table that I covered. I also used it to line draws and shelves in my new place. This contact paper is so easy to use and very forgiving. You can peel back numerous times to reposition and smooth out wrinkles. If one end gets laid and started right, it lays down great, following the paper backing as it is pulled off underneath, with no or minimal wrinkling. It even adheres to corners well when helped with a blow dryer or heat gun.
I love the look of the black marble! I was disappointed in the difficulty putting it on. It had snags or something on it that made it hard to slide the credit card on. It would hang up. I finally used my palms to smooth it but there were a lot of bubbles. It does stick really good except to the raw wood on the underside. Otherwise it isn't much different from regular Contact paper.
I really do love this product! I built on some extra counter space in my old rv and applied this to plywood as my countertop surface. When applied correctly, it will smooth out nicely and can be lifted to re-position it. It adhered great, even to the smooth side of plywood. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because it easily tears when shifting or moving things across the surface of it. Even as light as a coffee cup can rip it. I also surfaced the inside of my kitchen cabinets with it. While it has withstood daily use better, it has still done the same thing where heavier objects are placed. Things with rubber trim, like mixing bowls, will rip it. Overall, it's serving its purpose. I've used a hot soapy sponge and kitchen washcloth on it and it handles it great and cleans with ease! (Don't recommend using a rough scouring scrubbing sponge to it) It has a beautiful, “real countertop” look to it as well. Definitely an attractive appearance to my new little kitchen addition.
We used it for a slap together low budget project expecting the worst, however it turned out beautiful and even stuck to presswood, when we were sure it wouldn't! Our project turned out great! However, it does tear easily, so be sure to use gentle hands when working with it. Other than that, no complaints!
I got this to replace the old contact paper on my kitchen shelves. It looks great and smooths out easily. I will say that it does tear really easy though. It's thin so high traffic areas will likely need redone after a bit. I would be upset but it was on clearance so it was still totally worth it to get extra for fixes down the road.
I ordered it for my shelves but I couldn't use it on bare wood. It doesn't say that until you open it and read the back of the liner. It is really for laminating not shelf liner. So frustrating.
