After having all our water pipes replaced with a bathroom remodel, it came to our attention that not all the pipes had been insulated. In other words I had a feeling %26 asked one of my boys to check under the house before we get a freeze. The contractor had done all but one long length. Checked Amazon to get it here quick but it was all pretty expensive. Thought to check Walmart. Much cheaper %26 just added it to my grocery pick-up order. My son already got under the house %26 insulated the exposed pex line. He said it's really easy to use %26 the adhesive stuck together just fine.
This is the perfect size for the pipes outside. Also, there were 4 of these in one package. So glad Walmart had these in stock.
This is one of those things you'd expect to find a better deal on at a big box hardware store, but nope. Not only did Walmart have the better deal, they also had the name brand. Very happy with these.
Used it for an outside hose pipe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew how easy covering pipes could be. I always thought you had to cut the foam yourself, making it a terrible chore. Even a glamour gal like me can handle it, wrap around pipe, peel the strip, and push it closed. Duck has taken the work out of it. thank you!
I actually needed a smaller size, but I was able to use these to effectively get the job done of winterizing outdoor pipes. All in all, it's a great value.
This product was exactly as described and of high quality. Fit perfect. I would highly recommend this pipe insulation.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in Ohio where it gets bitter cold and have experienced our pipes freezing on numerous occasions. I thought these looked great to help that. It comes with four long covers that you can easily cut to your desired size. They are super easy to put on, you just cut them, slide them right on, and peel off the sticker to seal!! They have easy to read instructions on the front that made everything a breeze. We put them on our kitchen sink pipes and tested not letting our water drip last night size it was below freezing outside and our pipes didn't freeze! We are very pleased with them and will definitely be getting more!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These came just in time. I just replaced my hot water heater and wanted to insulate the hot water lines going up to the upper levels. These covered most of the lines in the basement. They are supposed to fit ¾" and ½" piping but they do not cover the ¾" as well as the ½". The two ends will not stay together even with the adhesive strip exposed. As you can see from the pictures, it fits the smaller diameter lines like a glove. I'm sure some coverage is better than none. Also with a new heater and these installed, I'm hopeful that the water upstairs will run warmer quicker. Overall I am pleased with this foam but just know that it likely won't fit anything greater than ½". I really only needed it for ½" so I can't complain. I need to get some more and cover the rest of my copper pipes. Thanks Duck!
Always a good buy for diy projects like my using these as side or door sweeps in the house or for how they're intended. They can be cut to size and it has the little pull paper on top of the glue so if you don't want it to stick to whatever you're doing, just leave it on there. The only downside is if you leave the paper on there, it'll show the white strip so if you're going to hate looking at that white strip, take it off but just know that once you expose that glue strip it's going to stick pretty good. If these are ever out of stock, I buy pool noodles since they're only a dollar but you'll have to cut through yourself. So, yeah, I recommend these because at least someone at this company thought it was a good idea for me/you to be lazy and not have to do an extra step of cutting down the middle.
