Very thick but goes on smoothly and evenly. No clumping or heavy residue. Great shaving cream! I'd recommend it to everyone.
I have used MANY shave creams over the years. This is by far they best I have ever used! No nicks, no cuts and zero irritation. It has a really nice subtle scent and you only need to use a little bit. It goes a long way. Thank you for making this product. If Duke Canon is a real person I may just leave him in my will. I hope he likes paintings of carnival people.
I have really enjoyed this as I am a old school brush an straight razor guy. It lathers up really nice.
I really like the way it smells. "Smells like accomplishment" on the packaging really make me laugh. Really nice shaving product, quite a bit better than your average gilette style shaving creams. Doesnt really clean out of shaver easily, i dont feel like that takes away from the overall experience from the priduct thou.
I've tried Cremo's Shaving Cream and Bath and Body Works. I find creams like this that expand when you add water are better for shaving with safety razors. Because of the way these creams sit in the tube, the first couple of uses they may not expand like they will once you've gotten through the first couple shaves. Regardless, this cream smells great and is very slick. It doesn't expand into as thick a foam as Cremo's or B&B; this is fine as I really just need a slick and not too thick interface for my safety razor to glide over. The aloe leaves my skin feeling soft, and the scent is clean and not over powering. This cream is slick, smooth and smells great. Does not expand into a thick foam or leave a greasy residue even after a few washes with water. Perfect for safety razors. Best cream I've used yet.
This is some awesome shaving cream! Who wants to put gel on their face that resembles menthol KY Jelly? The smell is ok and smells like the Victory soap. I really wish they made Buffalo Trace shaving cream AND/OR shave soap! That would be a nice addition to us straight razor and safety razor guys out there!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since the first time I tried Duke, Cannon superior grade shaving cream Is the only shaving cream I will ever use I order a few tubes at a time so I won't run out
Really great shaving cream just got to figure out how to use it and tried it with water in my cup try to just straight on my face try to wetting my face and putting it on they all seem to work but straight on does seem to be the better mix
I use as intended. I have a very coarse, tough beard and usually shave twice daily. You'd never know it because of my 'baby face.' In the past, I have used higher priced brands, the best being acca kappa, that did a great, thorough job for me for the shaving and the lack of razor burn. This has become a mainstay for me, a hair width away from acca kappa, but wholly functional with high performance at a reasonable price.
So, this one kind of took me for a spin here. See, in the title it says "superior grade", and I failed to understand that they were referring to being superior to using queso cheese as shaving cream. Smells good, doesn't work as good.
