Used these for years. Tried other brands but nobody makes them as well and effective as Du Pont.

Purchased these carbon wrap 5 micron filters to use with my motorhome whole house filtration system which uses a 20micron carbon block filter. The two things you need to consider in any filter purchase is the micron rating and flow rate. These filters meet my requirements. They have a high flow rate and proper micron rating. i use these filters at the hose connection. This may be a little overkill but i had rather have safe chemical free water. Since I travel to many parts of the US I encounter all types of water quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have been using this filter several years it has always done a excellent job of filtering out odors and sediment. I have tried other brands they do not meet the quailty of the dupont corbon wrap.
My only problem with this product was my store only had one package in stock. We have a high iron & mineral content where we live and I use this filter on the washing machine so the clothes do not come out orange. It works very well. It says it last for three months but I usually change it between two and three months.
These work very well. All though they only last About a month because I have such bad well water
I ask that you stop using UPS for your deliveries to me. I live on a rural main road
I have used Dupont 800 series filters for at least 5 years. Has always been quality product. This filter is not the same. The outer mesh has been replaced by a black filter cloth. When installed, it blew the top of the filter unit off and up, followed by a shower of water. Had to turn off main water valve to house and have plumber replace entire system. $$$$
