Great smoker! Easy to assemble, I'd say about 15 minutes. The smoker is very sturdy and easy to use it has so much room inside. We cooked a brisket and two pork shoulder roasts. The cooking of all the meat was easy, it was tinder and delicious, One thing I'd like to point out is we could not rely on the thermometer in the door, it did not read the temperature correctly. We used a digital Meat Thermometer that has probes which reads meat temperatures and smoker temperature. The thermometer may seem overboard but that is how we did it because meat is expensive these days so we wanted to make sure we did it correctly.
I ordered the smoker online from Walmart. All parts came with it. One small ding in the back corner edge. Prolly why I got a deal. We smoked some pork butt the next day after we seasoned the smoker. It turned out great. With applewood chunks and one burner, we had no trouble keeping a temp of 225, using a digital thermometer. It seems that most smoker temp guages are off about 10 degrees. But who's to say that the digital thermometer is right on? This unit held the smoke very well. I really like the adjustable chimney draft and 2 adjustable vents on the lower sides of the smoker. I used a flower waterer with a thin long neck to keep the water pan filled. Also used tin foil in the charcoal pan for easy clean up. There is an upper and lower guide for the pans to slide out on so as not to spill like some models will. I said "great for the price". Really, it's just GREAT!!
Very satisfied with this Smoker. Ribs came out Great. Took a lot longer to assemble than I thought....but was not difficult. Will try a Brisket next. Does not make a lot of Smoke out of the unit.....which is good. Keeps the Smoke inside where it belongs. Takes about an hour to really get the Smoke going. Be sure to get a second Propane Tank a Walmart. Uses up a lot of Propane in 5 hours. You won't want to run out. For the price.....it's a good Smoker. I purchased the Warranty too.
Seasoned and have smoked 3x so far over past 2 weeks since I got it. Everything has turned out perfect. Got a packer brisket ready to go next. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Very happy with this smoker. It was delivered a day early which was a huge help as I ordered it hoping to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. My son and I put it together in about 45min and it was pretty easy. We seasoned it with hickory and it smoked beautifully. Love the chimney especially. The two burner feature helps it get to temp rather quickly (depending on outside temp) and gets the chips smoking quick. The "gray area" on the thermometer is nice as well to quickly glance at temp for keeping temp where it needs to be. I also ordered this particular model for it's wideness. A nice brisket fits "comfortably" for a nice long low and slow smoke. Overall, a great smoker.
I ordered the Dyna-Glo DGW1235BDP-D 36' gas smoker from Walmart.com, even after reviewing a few problems on line about the smoker. It came extremely quick , put it together in about 30 min. Seasoned it as the directions stated and the next day smoked two racks of ribs, large pack of country style ribs, brats and a whole chicken. Love this smoker. separate bottom door is great and the dual burners enable you to keep perfect temp. Apparently Dyna-Glo listens about problems because none of the troubles I read about existed.
Excellent! Ordered from Walmart. No dents, dings or missing parts. Put it together by myself in an hour. Easy assembly. No circuit boards to burn out. No augers to jam. No error codes. No fans to quit blowing. Tons of space to smoke anything and everything. Shelves are totally adjustable. Well built. I did alot of research, watched videos, and read tons of reviews on lots of products- pellet grills, vertical pellet smokers, electric smokers and finally concluded that this Dyna Glo 36" Propane unit was for me. Ordered with the cover made for it. I honestly believe it will last for many years. There really isn't much that can go bad on it. The parts that need to be heavy duty are heavy duty. If you want bells and whistles and electronic gadgets, this unit is not for you, however know that you can get electronic probes that link to wifi and Bluetooth and will give you all the info you want. It is easy on propane and although it's not insulated, which most aren't anyway, with two burners and 20k btu output I'm confident it will smoke in the extreme cold of winter and I'm going to use it year round. In the summer you only need to use one burner and set it on a little above the lowest setting. It does take a little adjusting to get your desired temp, but nothing complicated. Yes Master Built says their unit will automatically adjust temp, but read the reviews- not good! Door gaskets are great! Honestly I'm totally happy with it and believe it is money well spent. Remember it's a smoker! If you want a grill buy a grill, but if you want deliciousness of smoked meat and the ability to smoke massive amounts of stuff pull the trigger and get this. You'll be happy with it. By the way the temperature guage on the front of the door is accurate on mine.
Have used a similar smoker for years, but with a single burner. Went to the larger 36 inch with 2 burners and much more cooking space. I find it easier to maintain a consistent temperature with this smoker-likely because of the 2 burners.. Really appreciate the larger size; can do larger and more items but the extra size enables the smoke to circulate better. Door latches work great and the doors seal much better.
Im very pleased with the 2 burner design there is a lot more control of the temp in different weather conditions. The door seals work great as well, The only dis-like is the cooking grates design, unable to slide grate out part way to check meat because of tipping downward to much, but over all it is a well designed smoker..
Assembly was easy, but I was missing parts to finishes had to wait 4 to 5 more days to get my parts that I needed from the manufacture and when I got them they where wrong. Walmart.com took care of me they where great they sent me another grill and I got the parts I needed.
