We looked and read about several of these smokers, and bought the Dyna-Glo 43" and it came to our home on time as was dated, and in about 20 minutes my Son and I had it together, love the large cooking spaces, and its well built, very easy on gas as well, would buy this again in a heart beat, thanks Walmart...
Was in great shape in box. Instructions very easy to follow and went together without any issues. Have used twice. Once for chicken legs and once for a pork shoulder roast. Was able to keep temperature right where I wanted to be. Found that wood chunks seemed to work better than chips. Overall very satisfied with smoker and will be using it quite a bit this summer and beyond.
Wanted a propane smoker to replace the one I had. Like the idea of two burners to be able to control the temperature better. Very satisfied with the price and construction of the smoker.
Cooked brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. All came out great! Easy to regulate temperature and has a lot of cooking space. Love it!
It came well package with no damage and it were easy to put togather .I cook chicken and ribs on it and they came out very Good!! Once you learn the control the temp. hold very well.
I am a weekly smoker that has been using 2 camp chef smoke vaults - 24". I needed another smoker and this one caught my eye: it comes with 6 racks - adjustable shelves - u can adjust to the size of your pork butts and brisket. assembly was spot on - all screws screw into pre tapped holes - no nuts -- except for the 4 for the door handles. Easily accommodate 21 racks of baby back ribs. 4 brisket. 8 butts. my only complaint (why i give 4 star): the water pan and heat box: the metal is not very heavy compared to the smoke vault - i suspect I will be replacing these -- when I do, I will fabricate them up with heavier metal. Ill give an update to my review after a few weeks -- with brisket, ribs, butts and chicken smoking
I like the size and the power to enable to get the unit hot with a load of cold meat placed in side. I like the sausage hooks, but I wish there were more. I missing feature that almost made me want to purchace another brand was the lack of temperature control. Also wheels would be a great thing to have also. That was an easy fix. I look at these things and ask how can I improve it!
Would get 5 stars if you could hold 225-240*. At 40* out side 1 burner runs at 215 and 2 burners at 245. Vents opened and closed. If the burners were a little higher or a little lower it could hit perfect temps. That said it is a very good smoker. Cooked ribs pork loin and meatloaf very well. May try adjusting gas tank valve and replenish more water next time.
First one came with no screws to assemble . Next one came and they informed me shipping company would pick up and return other item without parts . Not true hauler over 100lb item for return to shipping store , prepaid label didn’t work and now being charged for second item as well . If I could give zero or negative stars I would . Will never shop there again !
Order came with 4 dents. It was also missing the handles and thermometer. Customer service said they would send us an email in order to get missing parts. No email was received. This was a very heavy dyna glo smoker which would have been to bulky for me to return or it would have been out the door the next day!
