I recieved this unit last 01/14/2015 as part of a breakthrough review and have had 2 other people try it out and their feedbacks are better that what I expected. Better Agitation: Me: it picks up so much more and that the power brush really gets deeper to the carpet compared to my DC65. My Boss: He says he loves that the carpet shakes during use and that he was totally blown by how much cleaner the carpet looked restored to its former self. "his comparison to his dc25" My Uncle: He owns a dc14 and is not really fond of bagless uprights and claims they lose suction. But after he tried it for the first time he filled that Cinetic BIn 2x in one room which he just vacuumed 2 days before he was totally blown away and was ready to buy one(kinetic big ball) the very next day but it broke his heart when i told him that at this time it's not available for purchase yet lol. Ease of use (ball technology) Me: Turning around corners and has greatly improved precision specially around edge cleaning. My Boss: His first experience with the ball technology almost took me 2 weeks to get it back from him as he was enjoying the ease of use. My Uncle: He is 68 years old and finds this unit very easy to use and maneuver. Attachments: Me: The newly improved flexi tool is much better than the older design as now you can clean the walls of those hard to reach areas while cleaning crevices. And the new composite dusting brush leaves no dust behind and it feels like a magnet that sticks to furnitures.(i have the rest of the attachments except the 2 new attachments sent to me) My Boss: He was impressed by how easy it is to change from one attachment to another and how much each tool is designed and how they perform to tackle their specific tasks. He loves the new Flexi tool the most. My Uncle: He just kept cleaning any crevice he can see and think of. Over all impressions: Me: I can honestly say that this new design is definitely another step up above an already awesome machine(dc65). My Boss: Will definitely get this unit when his dc25 finally retires. He said that he has never been so confident allowing his grand daughter sniff and lay and play all over the carpet after using this machine and that he described it as "my carpet looks brand new" My Uncle: Cannot wait for this to roll out for purchase!!! This machine has converted a bagged vacuum user to jump in and embrace this new technology. The best feature: "No maintenance and no filters to clean" Thanks Dyson for this opportunity to Experience and rate a True Breakthrough Machine!!!
Honestly, I couldn't imagine how Cinetic Big Ball could be any better/different than my DC65 Complete. But, IT IS!! I have area rugs on top of wall to wall carpeting and the suction on the DC65 can make is a workout using pushing the vacuum across the rugs. With the Cinetic it is a breeze and it is picking up just as much the DC65. I really like that the Cinetic releases all of the really fine dust from the cyclones, I used to have to tap the cyclones when emptying the bin to get these particles released. I was a bit concerned that the air watts is lower slightly lower on the Cinetic then the DC65 but, I do not see any difference in cleaning. I do notice it is easier to push, see above, and I can use the hose with attachments without having to "fight" machine to let me extend the hose. Also, no more reminders to clean/wash the filters because there are no filters to wash!!! Woohoo!! I love all of my Dyson products, all 6 (and counting) of them! I've not hesitated recommending Dyson vacuums to family and friends.
Love the new Dyson. Could not believe the difference in my carpets. They are so fluffy you see footprints when you walk across the room. With three large dogs they get a lot of abuse. The Cinetic is heavier than our other Dysons but is still easy to maneuver. The extension hose is much more flexible, makes getting into the tight areas easy and reaching up to high places. All the attachments are wonderful and needed in this house, especially the flexi crevice tool, that one will be used a lot! Love not having to clean a filter that is a big bonus.
The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball is a dream come true for pet owners. I have a mixture of engineered wood flooring, white marble and cream carpet throughout my 3 story home. I have four cats, a roommate and I foster baby kittens throughout the year. I also love to cook which means I stay busy trying to clean up and keep my home looking and smelling immaculate. My cat Bella is also allergic to everything, so trying to keep her allergies from flaring is an ongoing challenge. The Cinetic Big Ball allows me to vacuum dried cat food, litter, dirt, hair, food, and fur from all types of flooring. The Cinetic is so powerful that I don't have to constantly run the vacuum over the carpet where litter and fur tend to congregate en masse. The Cinetic also has a super long tube that various attachments can be used to clean tops of high cabinets and furniture, vacuum stairs without having to carry the vacuum up the stairs as you go. Yet the best part about the Cinetic is there is no filter to wash. I just dump the dirt into the trash at the end of the day! Love, love love it.
Received the product and assembled the Cinetic machine within 20 minutes. Very fast and simple. As we currently own a DC 28 machine currently, my wife and I had a base line to compare the new Cinetic Big Ball machine: 1.) This machine seems to definitely have more suction power than our DC 28 machine. 2.) The roller ball makes the Cinetic much easier to manipulate the corners, around furniture, etc. and does an excellent job along the floor baseboards for closeness cleaning. 3.) Great advantage is the auto head adjustment from carpet to hardwood floors was a great selling point of this machine. Simple !!! 4.) Have not used the machine long enough to evaluate to filterless option of this machine though. As of the test I cannot find any reason that I dislike this product and I would definitely recommend this product to other people looking for a Premium Vacuum.
The multiple attachments for this vacuum are very helpful. They are very easy to change out. It is a little awkward to get the right angle for what you are aiming at sometimes but, the tools really do what they are meant to do. I have only played with place mats for carpet, no big carpets but, the job it does on those versus my Kirby is amazing! My wood floor crevices have never looked/been so clean. Love it. The empty out process is easy, you do have to tap it or help it dump out a little when it has a lot of animal hair sucked up in it but, no where near as difficult as other vacuums and so much simpler than bag or filter vacuums! I am very happy with this. We wanted the cordless vacuum to start with but, after reading reviews on the amount of time it lasted once you use the head attachment, it would have never worked for a household, maybe a small apartment. I feel we made the right choice with this vacuum.
First I did not think Dyson could improve on its vacuum suction but boy did they! Once I had my new Dyson put together I couldn't wait to test it out. I loved how well my Cinetic went from carpet to floor. I was even able to clean rug edge and floor at the same time. When my husband came home from work he wanted to know who I had gotten to clean. I love my original Dyson but did not do as great a job on floors as the Cinetic. I wish the cord was longer so that I could vacuum using one outlet. My house is short on spare outlets. I found the new plug easier to pull out of the outlet. Also like the new cord clip. The Reach Under Tool is a great new addition. I have birds so I used my birds vacuum to get rid of the seeds. I was pleased at how great my floor under my couch looked. The new Dusting Brush is also a great addition. I haven't dusted in a long while because of allergies but today I'm not having any symptoms from dusting using the Dusting Brush. The hose just barely reached the top of my stairs but I was using only the hose. A mini extender would take care of that, about 6 inches. Cinetic is on the heavy side for carrying up stairs but adds to my workout. I'm 5 feet but that might be part of issue. Also an Information Sheet for the Tools would be great.
The Cinetic Big Ball Animal has the most powerful suction I have ever seen in a vacuum. I could not believe how much fluffier my carpets looked after just using it one time. And all the dirt it picked up was crazy! I had to empty the bin before I was done with all my cleaning. The only drawback I experienced was when using it on my high shag area rug and small area rugs. On my high shag area rug, it was extremely hard to push and pull because the suction was so great. The solution: I turned off the rotating brush and then it was much easier to go over the shag carpet. I have a DC65 multi-floor (which has great suction) and it goes over the shag carpet with the rotating brush on. The Cinetic Big Ball Animal also has a self-adjusting cleaner head, but going over my hardwood floors to a small area carpet with the rotating brush on would "suck up" my area carpet. I had the same problem in my bathroom vacuuming my tile and then going over my bath area carpets. They were "sucked up" with the rotating brush on because the SUCTION POWER IS SO GREAT. I turned off the rotating brush and it went over the area carpets just fine. With my DC65 multi-floor, I am able to go from one surface to another without having to turn off my rotating brush. An issue this vacuum has that I also have with my DC65 is that the suction power is so great that the vacuum tips and goes into sweep mode (quite often) whenever I use the wand feature. Also, when I move the vacuum in the off position, it sometimes also goes into the sweep mode and I need to stand it back up to move it. Dyson needs to come up with some type of a latch system to keep the vacuums upright when using the wand or while transporting the vacuum on its stabilizer wheels. I still wouldn't trade them for any other brand of vacuum, but I hope they will work on a fix for this. Now, a GREAT plus about the Cinetic Big Ball Animal vacuum is that it has no filters for you to worry about!! Dyson outdid themselves with their new technology that eliminates the use of filters that need to be washed. I LOVE this fact. With all the pet hair, dander, and birdseed I vacuum up all the time, I always hated having to worry about when I needed to check, replace or clean my filters (or bags with other brands). No worries anymore! Another GREAT plus of the Cinetic Big Ball Animal is that is comes with the tangle free turbine tool. Everyone should own this superior tool even if it doesn't come with your model. The head on it is flexible and moves along the couch and chair surface smoothly. It picked up all the cat hair on my couch and chair without having to sweep over and over and over (must be that GREAT suction!) What a great tool! I highly recommend this tool to everyone even if they don't have pets. It did a great job picking up all those "left behinds" that fell between the seat cushions from the T.V. snackers. One more thing I would like to comment on is the size of the ball. I was concerned that the "big ball" would be too big and cumbersome. However, it isn't at all. While using the vacuum, I didn't even notice a difference about the size (my DC65 multi-floor has a smaller ball) and maneuvering it was no problem. So the larger ball is not an issue at all with this new design. Overall, if you are looking for a powerful, great suction vacuum, I highly recommend getting this one. If your house is all carpeted and/or you have pets, this is the vacuum for you! The Pros definitely outweigh the cons. I'll never own anything but a Dyson again.
Let me begin by saying the ball on this vacuum is large. I imagined it would be slightly larger than my DC41 Animal Complete but it is substantially larger. With that being said, its also substantially more different to maneuver than the DC41. It's going to take a little getting used to but with the suction power of this vacuum it's well worth the work. We have two shedding dogs and normally just from vacuuming the carpets we wind up emptying lots of dog hair. But after using the Cinetic Big Ball the bin contained the normal amount of hair but also tons of dust. Meaning that it wasn't being picked up by our DC41 Animal Complete or it's winding up in the HEPA filter and I am not seeing it. Either way it's great to see the amount of dust that Dyson's actually do take out of carpets and the air while cleaning! The fact that you don't have to wash 2 to 3 filters every 3 months is well worth the price of this vacuum. Also the Cinetic Big Ball almost vacuums itself. It almost feels self propelled. Very little effort is required in pushing/pulling the vacuum when the rotating bar is in the "ON" position. It becomes much harder to push on carpet when the rotating bar is off but this is not normally how you'd use the vacuum (I just tested it). It is equally easily pushed on bare floors with the rotating bar in the "OFF' position. I must say the handle extension is much easier to use on this vacuum in comparison to my others. The tubing on the DC41 tends to "fight" you from moving it in any other direction then the normal compressed state it's always in. The tubing on this vacuum is much more flexible and easy to extend. I love the auto adapt feature of the brushhead to adapt from carpeting to hard floor because our home is completely tiled but we have large floor rugs in each room. The auto adapt feature is ideal for anyone with a combo of hard floors and carpeting in the same rooms. Overall I love all of the features of this vacuum and would definitely recommend it for deep cleaning your home.
It is a lot bigger than my other Dyson, heavier too. It does have great suction. No filters is nice. It has a nice extra long cord which is very handy. All in all it's a great machine. But a little much for a smaller home. I have a cape cod and if it were any smaller it would not be much use. But for an estate home it would be an excellent choice. Again though no filters and an extra long cord. and of course the quality of Dyson it can't be beat.
