I have been using this for the past week ever since I got it. The fan design is small, just a little past waist but it is great for my condo unit where space is limited. Because of its small size, carrying it around is not an issue, it is very light and never unwieldy to carry. However, even though it is small, it does not sacrifice features at all. The fan can be tilted at an angle to allow for air to blow above waist level and towards the ceiling. It can also be set to oscillate at 45, 90, 180 or even 360 angles while tilted to allow for great air circulation. The fan has done a great job at maintaining comfortable room temperature on warm or humid days. In the week that I have used it, there has not been a day where I needed to turn on my A/C yet. I can just turn this fan on and it will do the job just fine, and save on electricity. A new added feature compared to my previous fan was the Night Mode option. I can turn this on before going to bed on a warm night and the fan will maintain a comfortable temperature through out the night. It will then turn itself off to conserve electricity once a comfortable temperature has been reached. The fan, as always, is very quiet. You can barely hear it working when at low and medium fan speeds. Only if set to the maximum fan speed will you hear it, and even then, it is still very quiet compared to other fans. The new status screen on the fan is a very nice addition, it provides air quality level, humidity, room temperature, and more at the touch of a button. I would definitely recommend this fan to my friends and family.
I have had a number of configurations of air cleaners and fans in my home office, but when I had the opportunity to try out the Dyson pure cool fan I jumped at the chance. Our family owns a number of Dyson products and we have been happy with them all. I must say I was not disappointed, the Dyson pure cool delivered! There are many things I could cover but the three best thing about the fan is the super simple setup, air purifying and ease of use. Setup could not be easier, take it out of the box, attach the filters (they are engineered to simply fit regardless of the orientation - very cool), plug it in, turn it on and press "Auto" on the remote. BOOM! Way under 10 minutes. Air purification is really a sweet spot for this fan. In auto mode it continuously measures the air and if it detects particulates or harmful gases (which I really did not even know were there) it simply uses the HEPA and charcoal filters to clean the air. One might ask how would you know. Well two main ways - first, there is a very easy to read graph on the front of the pure cool fan that shows you your air quality. Second, the allergies test. I have allergies with two cats and two dogs (don't ask why I do this to myself) and after using this pure cool fan for a few days, I not only see the air is cleaner in my office (via the graph on the fan), I actually feel better because I am not running for the antihistamine. Very Nice! Use of the pure cool fan could not be easier. A small remote allows you to go full auto or adjust fan speed, oscillation and even cycle through informative information about your air quality. If you are a person who does not like the air blowing directly on them, there is even an option for the air to blow out the 'back' of the fan - my wife loves this feature. What's really slick is how this unit connects to the Dyson iOS app (they have an Android one too). Not only can you control all the features you can with the remote, you can get daily and weekly graphs of air quality. AND if you are like us and have Alexa, you can control it with your voice. The bottom line is Dyson has put out the best engineered air purifier and fan I have ever seen. It is stupid simple to operate and is performs VERY well. I just want to know how they are going to improve upon it!
The new display makes it easier to read and monitor the air in your home. New details for Particulate Matter, Nitrogen Dioxide and VOC's are a plus. Download the Dyson Link App to monitor the fan while away from home, one of the great features of this product is it can monitor the air quality continuously without being fully on, so you get feed back that you can see over time. The new directional airflow allows you to blow the air backwards allowing for the purification to work without the cooling feature. As an owner of two dogs dust and particles are a constant battle, having the purifier helps to make sure that the air is Excellent. Over all this is a great product and the new features make it even better. If you are looking for a purifier and a fan, this is the best of both worlds and I highly recommend it.
I love the new features! Compared to the older model this unit has more features that provide you information on your indoor air quality. This series allows you to just run the air purifier without having to run the fan. The app is very handy, to start working on your home air purification prior to you getting home. I recommend this product highly.
My wife and I have bought a few Dyson products in the past few years, and it has never failed to impress us each time! We recently have been using the Dyson Pure Cool Purifying Fan DP04 for the reason that my wife has very bad allergies and an asthma condition. Each morning she use to wake up sneezing and has a stuffy nose for many years until we started using the Dyson Pure cool purifying fan. This changed her life, as in the mornings she stopped waking up with a stuffy nose/sneezing. With the Dyson Link app, that I installed on my phone, it makes it so much easier and better accessibility to be able to monitor and control the fan from anywhere in the house. With the app, we are also able to tell how polluted the air was in the room. Overall, this was an amazing product that I would highly recommend to anyone with strong allergies or asthma conditions.
This has been an exceptional addition to our other Dyson devices, potentially my favorite to date. The new phone app improvements allowed me to pair this device to my phone in less than two minutes. The improvement in the air quality in our finished basement where our children have their playroom and my wife has her office is substantial. We live in an area that is listed annually in the "Top 10" cities of the United States for pollen and allergies, and thanks to this Dyson air purifier the air in our home has literally no measurable contaminants. I'm strongly considering buying a second unit to take to my work office.
Cleaner air in a few hours after starting up my Dyson Pure Cool. The self-sensing ability of the Pure Cool is perfect for and on the go family. We do not have to remember to turn on the Pure Cool or worry about it running all day. Once you set it up it takes care of cleaning all the pollen out of the air and VOC's of which we are impressed. Light weight and quite in the lower settings but if the fan detects dirty air it kicks in to hight mode and can be as expected a little loud but it is still quieter than bladed box or oscillating stand fans. We really enjoy the wireless connectivity and control it gives you thru the Dyson Link app. It is good to see the reports it generates too about the quality of the air in your home giving you an idea of peak particulates. Next to our Dyson Vacuum this is one of my favorite Dyson products. I experience many tech products in my line of work and I can't stop talking about the Dyson Pure Cool to my friends and clients.
I have the previous generation of air purifiers from Dyson and this one has a lot of cool new useful features. I love that now it shows you the details on air quality and what's contributing to the "poor/fair/good" rating -- it shows you if it's pollen, dust, gases, etc. It's also great that it shows all that in the tiny monitor on the front of the machine, so you don't have to always go to the app. As always, the super sleek and modern design is a huge plus!
Working well. I take out one star for limited option to switch temperature format from celcius to fahrenhait. I understand the display show the format depends of purchase market But this is silly idea. Every devices on the market give the option to user.
