From the moment I set up my new Dyson Pure Cool Link purifier and turned it on, my wife and I can't believe how clean and crisp the air is in our home. We have 2 puppies and I occasionally smoke cigars in our family room so this device is perfect for us. I guess we never really thought about how things like pet dander would make the air so much worse to breathe until we started using the Dyson, and now we can't believe how much better the air quality is. Set up was easy and the instructions for use are easy to follow. There's even an app on my phone to monitor and control the unit. The "Auto" feature is a definite plus. I have 2 other Dyson products and I'm so impressed with their quality and all the thoughtful features built into them. Bottom line is the Pure Cool Link purifier has definitely changed our quality of life by providing cleaner and crisper air that we breathe.
I am beyond pleased with this device!! It was very simple to assemble out of the box, connecting to the iPhone App and wireless network was a breeze. Once the unit gets acclimated to the room, it works flawlessly! The unit constantly analyzes the air quality and adjusts automatically to optimize its throughput. When it is on high, it is not a nuisance and when the fan is low, its whisper quiet. Very pleased with this Dyson product and highly recommend it to anyone considering a purchase.
Ok, Dyson is not cheap. And I can't say if it's a great value, but to me, I love this machine and there is nothing else compares to this air purifier. The fact that the app tells you the air quality outside and monitors the air side, and adjusts is amazing. It's a great cool fan also, and very quiet. Love the app and the monitoring of the air quality. Most other machines just turn on and off. My only complaint is the app doesn't work on 5g, and I have to switch to mobile service to use it. Don't know why. But still love the machine.
The detection sensor is sensitive and will automatically turn the machine on when “bad” air is present. For example: my dog was in my room when my air purifier turned on to level 8 (I had it on automatic setting), a few seconds later I smelled the worst gas smell. It detected my dogs gas before my nose did. Yes, this machine detects and filters out gas, among many other airborne nasties. I had turned my machine off for a week to save the filter. During those last few nights my nose would get stuffy when I laid down to sleep, not sure why, but I decided to turn my purifier back on and the following nights the stuffy nose went away and I slept like normal again. When I cook foods with a heavy odor, this thing will kick on as soon as the odors and smoke fills the air. There have been times when I got back from the gym and once I'd get near the machine it would kick on. This machine really works! And it works very well! I have allergies and sometimes get hay fever, so I've found this machine very useful and helpful for me. It's been running well for the 3.5 years I've had it and I love the design and look as well. It's sleek, minimal, pleasing to the eye, and doesn't make much noise. I use it with the Dyson app and control the machine settings from my phone, get weekly air reports, and it shows me the filter life. Replacing the filter is easy and setting everything up is easy. I recommend this purifier and will continue to use these air purifiers. If you take good care of it regularly (wipe it down, change filter, keep sensor clear, place in safe location) it should last you a long time.
We are really enjoying our Dyson Tower, for many reasons. Esthetically, it is pleasing to look at. I suffer from allergies and hay fever, and since having our new machine, I no longer wake up in the middle of the night stuffy and congested. We have had a few warm days and nights recently and the air flow, when turned on is wonderful, even better and stronger than our ceiling fan. We also like the fact that when it is on, the noise is minimal. We also like the fact that it has a removable filter, therefore being easy to clean.
Just bought this one today. It is my 3rd one. First of the year I couldn't breath hardly. After running 2 I can breath a lot better. The app also made me aware of hairspray and cooking spray. The sensor would turn to red and stay there for about a hour. Started using alternatives.
I absolutely love my Pure Cool. This is the second one I own now. I got the Nickel finish for my office. The finish is fantastic! It makes it look so cool. I love having the remote to be able to make adjustments and since its the tower model it works well because it not only pushes air towards my face when sitting down it also does under the desk. Having complete air flow around my desk is really nice for work. I also love the android app. It gives you the ability to monitor the air quality much better. I do wish the interface was a bit easier with better buttons for control on the app but it is not that big of a deal. My other complaint would be the price of the replacement filters. I feel like they should be a bit less.
I'm very skeptical when it comes to air purifiers. I've owned several other models, and none have come close to Dyson's. From the almost non-existent sound (even on the highest setting), to the smart-innovative technology, automated settings, timers and mobile app controls, this is by far a superior product than most out in the market. The good: Sleek design - integrates nicely into our decor Ease of use - it literally took 2 minutes to put together and another 5 to download the app, and manage my settings. Quiet - unlike other air purifiers, this is the quietest one I own Technology - So far, it's light years ahead that other mass products for 2015/2016 Results - Good results, we use in our family room because of the large space, and my children and I who suffer from allergies have noticed a difference. Decreases in sniffling noses, sneezing and coughing. I tested the cool fan and I'm looking forward to using this in the summer. Maintenance - TBD, compared to other air purifiers, the filter is changed annually and there's a reminder. Cons: The size, it's not something you can put in a small room, for us it works for our larger rooms. Price: It's on the higher end of air purifier price points, however, with that you get the Dyson customer service, which hands down is well worth it.
Ive been using my new Dyson Cool Link for about a week now. It is a beautiful machine and seems to purify the air at least according to the App. My only complaint is that the airflow is a little weak. I need to run it on "10" to get close to what I would like but I then have to deal wth the noise factor. Would love a little more power and quieter on higher power settings. Overall functionality and aesthetic are great.
Dyson, in my mind, is supposed to be a leader in household appliances and I own a number of items from them. This time decided to try their fan because it finally went on a steep sale. It did however disappoint. We sleep with a fan on every night. The biggest ask is that it is quiet and provides enough air for us. So, this is exactly what I was shopping for: quiet, strong fan with Alexa compatibility. It has 10 air circulation settings and after a few nights we realized that we needed to keep it on 10 for us to receive enough air. However, the noise it was making was very disruptive and I we were waking up a number of times during the night. Unable to get used to it over the first month, I had to return it.
