My husband and I purchased this unit after researching various air purifiers. We have two other Dyson fan/heat units that we use periodically and already knew how trustworthy the Dyson name is. This helped us to make our final decision to purchase this particular air purifier. We downloaded the app and control it remotely, but also have the ability to use the remote that was included. It works very well to detect any allergens or smells and eliminates them quickly but I have also used it to cool down after I exercise. Given the fact that it is now summer in the south, we haven't actually had a need to use the heating feature other than to check and be sure it works. We're excited to have this in our home and trust that it will continue to do what it says it will do. It is a very durable unit with a replaceable Hepa filter. It can be set to oscillate or be stable in one particular position, it has a timer on it, as well as a night mode. All of this can be operated via the remote or the app I downloaded on my phone.
I have used many purifiers over the years. This one is by far the best. When the heating feature is needed, I don't worry about it. In a word this machine is impressive. Unfortunately I did need to use customer support and that was even more impressive.
I have an older, inefficient home with a lot of square footage. After one cold winter and researching/buying less expensive space heaters I purchased my Dyson. This is day one and I'm very impressed. If this product is as dependable as the vacuums I have from them it will be worth its weight in gold!
Dyson products are expensive. That said, I have bought vacuums and fans and heaters over several decades—and all are still in operation and work well! This purifier fan is on another level. I needed a heater and fan for my 20'x 25' open living area with a 10' ceiling. The heating system really works quickly to warm up the living area. The remote works with a digital screen on the unit as well as a phone app. The fan strength is typical Dyson, and I expect it to be effective in cooling the area in the summer. With the sale price offered by Walmart I knew I had to take advantage!
So far great purchase. Bladeless fan, air purifier and heater. We have 3 cats in a studio and does a great job at cooling off and keeping the air clean.
What a great product. I unboxed it, plugged it in, set it on Auto at 72 degrees, and I haven't touched it since. I have it in my office and it quietly keeps it nice and warm. The office smells better as well.
Bought in NY, shiped to FL within 3 days, great. Now very pleased with the hot output in "COLD FL". Quiet noise level, great
The fan is quieter than most at the top setting (still a bit noisy) and the night setting is extremely quiet. However, the temperature setting only controls the heater and does not actually control heating/cooling. So when the cooling fan is on, you have to manually turn it up or down depending on the temperature you want in the room.
Bought the fan and love that part. The heating is terrible. I am using it a 12x12 room and it does not make the room warm at all. Very disappointed.
We have 3 different models of hot+cool fans and all of them start having problems once the warranty is expired. None of them heat anymore. I would expect much longer life from a product this much more expensive than other brands. Or at least a better warranty.
