I was advised by my PT therapist to use this to keep the heel lifts in my shoe. I have one leg a tad longer after a hip replacement and needed the lift for the other leg. Now I don't loose my lifts in open back shoes. I use it every time I buy a new pair of shoes to glue a new heel lift in place. I haven't lost a lift since, while wearing a shoe or in the closet.
This product arrived new and well-packaged. I used it on my one shoe and it worked like wonders. Just wish the product came with an application spatula to spread product out evenly.
Not much to say except that I've been using it since the 1980's. Without it, me and millions of other folks would have had to throw away expensive running shoes that had great uppers and just a couple of key spots worn through on the soles. Sure, it would be great if the stuff were more abrasion resistant after all this time, but I don't know of anything better. And the price is still reasonable.
I saw a u tube video on a guy patching an inflatable vinyl pool. His recommendation was to deflate pool for negative pressure so glue gets sucked into the puncture. Then apply another coat, let dry 24 hours. Impressive. It's clear glue and you could tell it had a little shiny spot but no big patch material. Ive not had any success using patches. Plus I can use for kids shoes when bottom starts to separate...sure lots of uses in store.
Purchase and home delivery went fine. Been using Shoe Goo for years to repair Athletic shoes wear and failure of manufacturers adhesives, especially NIKEs.

It works but I wish it was thinner, thus easier to apply.
This stuff is amazing. Does a great job of gluing and it stays flexible. They also make a black glue version which is great if your shoes have black soles. My only complaint is that it isn't durable enough if you are a runner and are rebuilding worn spots. Wears off in about 50 miles but for every day use it is great. Photo is of glue I put on over a year ago. TIP-- wet your fingers before touching the glue so it won't stick to you as you mold the glue into shape.
This is my third tube in about 20 years. It has a very long shelf life if you clean the top well with lacquer thinner after use, screw the lid on tight and keep the tube in a plastic zip lock freezer bag in a dark place. I wear out good quality hiking shoes in less than a year. Over the years Shoe Goo has extended the life of several pairs of my hikers. It works particularly on holes in the the soles. This product has excellent adhesion properties, sticking to almost anything it touches. Of course, there's a down side. It dries very quickly, so try to keep it off your hands and any material you don't want to touch. If it does get in unwanted places, clean your hands and effected materials with lacquer thinner immediately. I recently repaired a pair of 14 year-old Teva water shoes. I am anxious to test the long range waterproof durability of the goo. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone who wants to extend the life of the ruined parts of an otherwise serviceable pair of old friends.
