These curtains have over exceeded my expectations. We already had one set for my daughter's room, so when we moved into our new house and redecorated hers with new colors we took over the existing set and ordered two more sets. The room looks like night during the middle of the day. This is great since my husband works third shift and has complications with sleeping during daylight hours. I would highly recommend this product for all types of rooms. Additionally, we have noticed our room has also become cooler during the summer months. However, I cannot rate this product yet for the winter months although I would assume the room will be warmer since they are designed to keep the warmer air in during this season. Lastly, the material quality is extremely surprising given the price. You will not be disappointed with this product!
Hello there to whom ever may be reading this. I naught there curtins hopin it would help on my electric bill and keep my house a little cooler and add a bit of class to my house and guess what I got all three. They block out a lot of sun and heat even when there open and just draping on the side hooks. When they are down the can black out my whole house even when the sun is directly on them. Now on the electricity bill it dropped from $7 a day in high 90s here in Texas to $5 a day. Reason I was able to get those number was because I have a smart meter and it tells me daily usage. These curtins come in a few different colors and are great and I would recomend them to anyone. Also they are cheaper on Walmart.com than on amazon or anywhere else.
I needed these curtains for the sliding glass patio door, which previously had sheers on it. These curtains don't block out all of the light, but certainly blocks most of it and helps keeps the room warmer. Two panels were needed to cover the patio door. A great value!
I bought these for all of our windows after buying them for the first window. The quality is really great. They are thick, yet soft and block out all of the light. LOVE THEM! They'll really help with heating and cooling costs in our home.
These things block out all light which is wonderful!! They are soft, yet thick so they poof a bit more than I thought, but then again, they aren't pleated drapes so it's what I expected. I just got some drape cords to hold them back with and I love the rich look of the chocolate against my walls. They are great!
I was skeptical at first but once I got them and hung them to test them in bright southern daylight, I was pleasantly surprised! I bought these for day sleeping while working the night shift and they work. By the way, they look good too and the material is of heavy quality with a nice dark black rich color.
I chose these on the basis of color first and fabric appearance second, but I have been pleasantly surprisely at how much noise and light they block and how much I like that.
These curtain panels were very nice and soft, and did do their job of blocking out most of the light. My one disappointment and reason for returning them is that the color was not the yellow in the pictures but more of a beige/tan color.
I bought this is wheat. I agree with other reviewers that this color is not blackout. But, it does block the heat very well. The directions tell you to put the curtains in the dryer for 20 minutes with a damp towel to get the wrinkles out and this does work like a charm. My only complaint is the stitching on the outside edge is tight and actually made each end shorter on the bottom than the rest of the curtain. That's why I gave it a 4. The material is nice and gives it a linen look.
These are great as blackout curtains. I chose them in black because I really want the room to be as dark as possible. They were as described and were easy to fit. The only minor irritation is that because they are so thick you can't really open them the whole way because they don't bunch up very well. Plus the material is so 'sticky' that they sometimes pull apart our curtain rod when we slide them open :) Otherwise very happy with them.
