[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this thermostat not really knowing that it would be something that I didn't know I really needed . There are many thermostats on the market that are smart but do we actually need that technology? Well with this one absolutely yes you do . I can keep up with my air quality, it saves me money and the best part is it also acts as in home security. The sensor and thermostat knows when I'm home and away and I always get notified about motion triggers or occupancy. This has been a lifesaver and life changing product for me . All families need this . I am very impressed and will be adding to the system . Thank you so much . I have so much peace od mind now .

My parents are new to the smart thermostat world so I am giving them my Google nest, but after they see my ecobee, they are going to want to upgrade!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the ecobee smart thermostat premium. I can easily control on the touch screen, with my Alexa show products, and on the app. It offers personalized schedules allowing me to control when my unit needs to run more/less. For example when on vacation, while at work. It also offers maintenance notifications and let's me know when I need to change my filter or have my HVAC unit serviced, saving money on routine HAVC service calls. I have a UV light for better air quality, this is the first system I have seen that notifies me when the UV light needs changed. I love that it shows my homes air quality, weather outside 4 days in advance. It learns my perferred settings to ensure my home is always at a comfortable temperature without overworking my system. The smart sensor is a great addition as it allows you to control hot/cold spots throughout the home. Ours is our master bedroom and I have noticed it now stays the same temperature throughout the home. It took my husband and I about an hour from start to finish to install the system. We do have an older home with a gas furnace and did not run into any issues while installing. The ecobee smart thermostat premium gives you complete control over your home's heat and air while keeping it easy to control from anywhere. Another great point is it being energy efficient, saving upto 26% annually on cost.

I love it. it's beautiful and sleak. it is very easy to use and came with clear installation instruction. it is a but pricy but most decent products are. I would recommend it to someone looking to upgrade their current thermostat.
I replaced my Ecobee 4 with the Ecobee Premier just because I wanted the additional features and the utility company had a great promotion. I am using it with my Ground Source Heat Pump.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't be intimidated by the installation process of the Ecobee Premium Smart Thermostat, installation only takes about 20 minutes. Even if you have different wiring than what is typical, you can easily find instructions and how to videos for it on the Ecobee site. All the connecting wires are plug and play no tape or wire nuts necessary. This thermostat basically sets up itself once installed, it takes only minutes to calibrate the needs of your home. I love how customizable the thermostat is, you can set so many things to your preferences and even connect to Alexa. The thermostat even displays the weather outside and the humidity inside. I have a long rancher style house that used to get warm on one side and felt like ice on the other, with the temp sensor it is now able to regulate the temperature so its even throughout my home. It looks amazing on the wall and works flawlessly, dont hesitate to make this easy, money saving upgrade to your home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't even think about it, GET IT. we switched from Google Nest to Ecobee and bought two more for each floor. We have a pretty big house and even with 1 floor zone, our bill more than HALVED in the month we had the ecobee set up. It's incredibly convenient to configure it to your needs and control via the app. Have the house warmed up in the winter for when you come back home from work or cooled down in the summer. Save a ton of $$$ on the away mode. Newest UI and overall design is very slick. So grateful for receiving this complimentary! Separately, from my husband: The ecobee smart thermostat "PREMIUM" is an attractive upgrade over the previous models. From the outset, it's clad with a stainless-steel ring that resembles the premium look of the Nest thermostat, which is a welcome change. There's also a larger, more readable screen, although the overall size of the thermostat remains the same. Feature-wise, the most useful upgrade over the previous model is an indoor-air quality sensor, which I've actually found pretty useful. So far I've been watching it like a hawk. It'll notify you if the indoor air quality drops (for instance, if you do a lot of cooking near it) and advise you to open a window for ventilation. It's also a little more intuitive on this model to switch the temperature using the screen on the ecobee itself (there are "+/-" buttons instead of a "click/drag" approach). But, I really wish there were a way to customize the screen itself, for instance, to show the clock in a large font instead of the temperature from a distance away, or to have the screen turn itself off at night. It can be a bit jarring. One other irritating note is that the backing plate and pins on the back of the device don't line up with the old ones. I feel like this is an unnecessarily pointless design change that just makes installation a little more involved if you're upgrading from an older ecobee to the new one. Otherwise, it's still just as simple to hang on the wall and wire up as the old ones were. Set up is much more guided, and I love that the box and all packaging is completely eco-friendly and fully recyclable non-glossy cardboard. Nice improvements Ecobee.
