Deebot T8 AIVI with optional scrubbing mop Bought it two months ago, but was right in the middle of installing new flooring, so today's the first time I've set it to map then clean. With two cats and a black lab, I will defiantly come back and update this review after it's been given chance to perform. I've had a Roomba 960 for four years and mostly carpet, it's been awesome, but I really wanted one that would self empty and damp mop at the same time. (I don't expect it to really mop, but dragging a damp cloth with a small amount of disinfectant in the water gives me a peace of mind)
We've only been using this a few weeks, but love it's vacuum power and cleaning ability. We have had to do a lot of looking for instructions on YouTube since the user manual is not very helpful at all. I love the dump station. The mapping feature is great, but you have to learn how to save it because the robot looses the map if you turn it off. We still have yet to use the mop feature. but think it will also be great.
This vacuum is the absolute worst robot vacuum we have ever owned. We have to run it two or three times for the floor to feel or look clean. The vacuum is supposed to be an auto empty vacuum however, that feature only works 1/3 of the time. I tried contacting the company to rectify the issue and they sent us a brand new one with a brand new base after a long battle with them. On the first run with the brand new vacuum and base it did the same thing. The dustbin wasn't even a third full and it didn't empty at all. I even have a video to prove it and I sent it to Ecovacs. Customer service told me I had to manually tell the auto-empty vacuum to empty after it was done cleaning a small areas of my already small apartment. Then send it back out again. I wouldn't even give this company a chance. Go with a different company for your robot vacuum needs.
