spent a number of weeks in october '07 researching options for an upright stationary bike that would be affordable, yet provide the basic features of a more expensive pro machine (push button tension control and program were a must). with these parameters in place, i found myself looking at a lot of entry level machines with mixed reviews and complaints of poor quality workmanship. meanwhile, this bike had very few and i was able to download the user manual at the fitness quest website to see what i was getting into. with this info in hand, i purchased it. site to store delivery was painless, as was assembly once i got it home. its has now been 3 months and about 400 miles of use, and i have no significant complaints. -it is built well, so you feel like you're riding something solid at all times. -the digital display works great, as do the programs. -seat is comfortable up to about 25 minutes. after that it gets a little bothersome, but i can't imagine any other seat being better. -the pulse detector doesn't seem to be very accurate, though i just may be using it wrong. -the machine beeps every time you adjust settings and there is no volume/mute control for this. biggest annoyance, especially when using in the early AM when others are sleeping. in summary, i highly recommend this to someone seeking an entry level magnetic resistance bike with programmable controls. it has surpassed my expectations for quality at the price i paid.

Get Ready to Sweat!

During summers I normally ride around 100 miles a week on my road bike. I needed something to use on rainy days & in the winter. I purchased the Edge on a whim. Turned out the exercise bike was twice as hard as riding on the road (putting 20 miles on the Edge is comparable to 60 on my road bike). If you're looking for an exercise bike to pump up leg muscles, improve your cardio, and to work up a sweat this is the machine. It's priced fairly, shipped quickly, and easy to assemble. Adjusting the bike for each rider is simple- a quick turn of the dials. Bike is lightweight too- has wheels to roll it around. Would rec. buying this bike.

This bike it the perfect addition to a home gym. It has the quality and durablity of a big gym bike at a great walmart price. My husband and I use it daily. It is very quiet and gives both of us a great workout. The adjustable seat is perfect. My husband it 6' tall and I am 5'2" we are both able to adjust the seat for our needs. Can't say enough about how much we like this bike.

A nice bike for the price

I love my bike. I was a little disappointed that one of the transitioningn wheels came cracked and falling off but since that has no bearing on my use for the bike I let it go. I looked all over and found that price including shipping was best on walmart.com when I used the ship to store option. I think I'll be happy with this bike for years to come.

So far, I love this bike. It's a nice size yet very sturdy and the computer screen looks like what you'll find in a gym. Site to Store shipping took less than half the expected delivery time. Assembly was easy even for the inexperienced. It took me awhile to put it together but the instructions were very good and easy to understand. I'm looking forward to getting in shape in my own living room. I highly recommend purchasing this item over less expense models carried by Walmart.

I bought this bike for my husband as a Christmas present and he uses it just about everyday. It's awesome for us because we live in the mountains and it's really hard to get outside to do much exercise. So far it seems great. The button options can be a little annoying and you can't change levels once you've picked a program, but I suppose that's a good thing. Anyway, I hope it lasts for a long while, then I'd say it was well worth every penny. Great so far!

The bike is a good buy for the price and what I was looking for. It did arrive with the platic case covering the bottom cracked and the pieces actually broke off during assembly. It does not effect the functioning of the bike but was disappointing and too much of a headache to ship back since it was almost ompletely put together when I noticed. It was easy to assemble and I over all I like the bike.

Overall I would recommend this bike for the price. Its sturdy, quiet and does the job.My only complaints are the seat is uncomfortable I had to buy a cushion. and the mp3 holder isn't large enough to hold my tv remote, very annoying ! but overall the bike is a good value.

Good bike for beginner to advanced. The different types and levels of workout are a challenge and you feel like you get a good workout. The only downside is I've had this bike 3 weeks and the programming seems to be varying as if it's not reading the right level or program all the time. However, you have the option to stop/start again and it seems to reset its internal clock and pick up the program again. That's the only part of it that makes it feel a bit cheap and I'm wondering how long it will last. I'd buy up if that is a concern and you can afford more. If not, it's a decent deal.

The bike is a good exercise tool, but mine doesn't seem to be very durable. I plan to return it because it has developed a thumping noise, the pedals have to keep being re-tightened and a long thin thread peeled off onto the floor from within the unit. Purchased 1-24-08.
