With the combination of smooth curves and straight lines, the all-new Exclaim™ is a fully active bi-amped 2.0 speaker system, with each speaker driven by its own internal amplifier. Full integral DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and DRC (Dynamic Range Compensation) delivers active crossover frequencies, superb tonal balance regardless of volume setting, and keeps any possible distortion at an absolute minimum. A combined 36 watts RMS of power is on hand to drive a total of 6 internal active speakers. In addition, 2 passive radiators are utilized in the mid range/tweeter housings to raise efficiency and dynamic range, plus 2 supplementary passive radiators to augment deep bass and performance from the woofers. Connecting to any audio device is easy using the 3.5mm auxiliary cable (included). Built in volume and power/standby controls are located on the side of the master speaker unit. I have these unique looking speakers hooked up to my TV in lieu of a soundbar. Not only do they add a classy looking touch, but sound incredibly better than the tv speaker itself. If you are expecting a BOOM BOOM bass effect, these speakers are not for you. Rather, they produce a nice, clean, crisp sound with just enough bass to add depth without a "muffled" effect. Very happy with purchase.
These speakers will surprise you with their range and quality. They deliver much more than you would expect at this price point! The artistic style is a bonus.
The speakers sound fair for the price but the cable from speaker to speaker needs to be longer. It won't go under the top a standard office desk (about 6 to 8 inches short) so it must lay out in the open. The company offers a longer cable (10 feet) but it is priced at 30% of the cost of the entire speaker system. You cannot just buy a typical speaker wire extension because this cable is a 4 wire cable with proprietary ends. So, if you don't need more than 5 feet 6 inches between the speakers, they're OK for the price.
