My favorite feature: the ability to choose a specific temperature. The room is always comfortable. I also like the ability to pre-set it to start just before I get home. The remote control is also great. This unit was easy to install and is easy to use. I don't find the noise level uncomfortable.
I purchased this product to cool one room instead of running the central unit excessively low. I am able to keep my electric bill down and still keep cool at night while sleeping. This is a great a/c unit, very quiet operation, easy to install and cools the room very quickly every evening when I turn it on.
I purchased 3 of these small AC units this year (1 for each bedroom). This is my first experience with a Haier product. So far, so good. This unit is easy to install and it has good features. I especially like the timer function, because I can set it to turn off and come back on in a few hours. That way it won't be running needlessly when I'm not home. Using the timer function combined with it's energy star compliance helps to save even more on the electric bill. Also, the filter is easy to clean. The remote control is pretty cool too, it's no bigger than a credit card!
Product works great is fairly quite, but the amount of foam for the unit to fit in the window seal, while sealing the window was no where near enough. I had to go buy more to secure the unit and plug the holes. Other than that The AC unit was a great buy.
Unit is a little noisy when condenser is running. This seems to be a common problem among smaller units. We actually like a little background noise to muffle other outside noises; it doesn't interfere with our sleep in the least. It cools well, and fits nicely in our narrow window.
Just right for a small room, a little noisy but otherwise ok. Looks good. remote is easy to use.
WHEN I FIRST TURNED IT ON, IT GAVE ME HOT AIR FOR ABOUT 3 HRS. I TRIED TO ADJUST THE TEMP BUT IT WENT TO WHERE IT WANTS TO. NO I GET GOOD AIR AFTER THE FIRST 24 HRS. IT'S HOT IN CALI BUT THE TEMP ON THE AIR DOESN'T STAY COOL, IT WILL RISE UP TO 87 DEGREES ON ITS OWN WHEN I WANT IT TO STAY AT 76 DEGREES. WHEN ITS COOL, I LOVE IT
I was excited when I first bought this air conditioner. However, it has things about it I don't like for instance, when you set the temperature, it seems to take a long time to register that temp, if it reaches it at all. It is also very noisey. I would not buy this air conditioner again.
It may be efficient, and it is cool, but this air conditioner is the loudest one I've ever heard. It is unnecessarily loud, and is hard to sleep through. I'm not talking about "white noise"; this thing is LOUD!
I bought this product and my son in law installed it. After it running for 6 or more hours and it was still blowing warm air I had him come back and put it back in the box to return it. The only good thing about this product was that Walmart gave me no problem taking it back. I'm still in the market for an air conditioner but will stay clear of this brand!
