The capture sends the video from my PS4 to my Macbook Pro with almost no issues -- only a usb a to usb c converter was necessary. The input lag is minimal, and this product feeds directly into OBS Studio with no need to stop by another program (freeing up CPU!). One small nag -- the analog input port requires use of the 4K Capture Utility, which is a windows only program. A USB sound card avoided this issue, in order to feed my MixAmp audio to OBS instead of only the system audio.
As far as the hardware and it's capabilities it is fantastic especially with the 4k passthrough along with the similar design to the previous generation. I currently play on a Xbox Series X with a 4K UHD 28in monitor and it doesn't lose any visual fidelity while recording/streaming The only CON I have is the 4k capture software not allowing post recording screenshot capture like the previous generation of game capture software...(nothing to do with the product specifically just the software that you have to use). Outside of that i would recommend this for Next Generation users within the PS5/Xbox Series X/S family.
It took me a minute to get it properly setup, but once I did, I have been able to capture every game I have wanted on my Xbox and publish them on Twitch and YouTube.
Bought this to enhance my video conference quality. The HD60 S+ functions as a more expensive but with more features Cam Link. Zoom and Microsoft Teams both recognize the device as a webcam and I've never looked better. I've paired this with a Multi Mount to get the best angle and it's turned out great. For best results, I recommend connecting the device directly into your Graphics Card via the VirtualLink port with a USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable.
I bought this to record and edit my gameplay from my Xbox One X. I was intimidated because I have never used a capture card. The setup was plug and play and I was recording videos within minutes. The software was a little bit more of a learning curve. After watching a few videos I was able to fine tune it to my preferences.
This good for coming up youtubers that want to record on multiple devices and great the same perfomence and no lag.
Been using this device since I upgraded to 4K. Definitely one of the better products for its price point on the market. The only thing to be wary of is that if you are trying to utilize it's true 4K HDR Bypass, you will have to change your HDMI settings on your console for it to be able to do this function properly. I had to change the HDMI frequency to -2 on my PS5 to be able to get the 4K HDR to work the way it was supposed to. Luckily the FAQ website for this pointed that out and things have been good ever since. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a solid yet not too expensive option for capture devices.
this wont allow you stream at 1080 just like that . this will bring down the refresh rate of your gaming monitor(if u r on dual pc setup or on single doesnt matter. the 4k pass through is so stubborn that we cant control it to 1080 so that we dont have to sacrifice our refresh rate ! it wont allow you to play at above 165 on another monitor also i understand its 60 hz but it should not effect the another gaming monitor. i need a proper solution because i am a streamer and i am not able to stream properly with neither mobile nor pc, whereas hd60s doesnt create any type of problem. because of this now i will have to buy hd60s. simply wow i am downgrading instead of upgrading !need a proper resolution of refund ! still have warranty its just 2 months old and have been searching for solution everywhere ! but nothing at all !
box was resealed and the capture card missing. but hey it was delivered. dont order from this company as they will not help. thank god for walmart support
I honestly thought I would be paying for quality, but I was wrong. I am not happy with this product at all. It stays connected to my pc for 2 minutes before losing it's signal. This device is too finicky. When it stays connected for the short time it does then my PS4 picture and sounds comes through great, but I purchased the device so I can run a stream and it hasn't worked at all.
