I got this for my mother-in-law as she was taking the newspaper in order to tell what day/date it was. She really likes the clock as it tells both in addition to the time, etc. The numbers and lettering are quite big and easy to read. This was a perfect purchase for her!
Nice big size numbers and letters. Gives inside temp. I like that. Helps you set thermostat to correct room temp.
My mother sometimes gets confused with the date, day of the week and if it is am or pm. This clock shows it all even the temp. This is very helpful to her when taking her medicine. She know the date, day of the week and if it is am or pm when chosing her medicine.
I wanted a larger clock for my kitchen wall. Funny how most of the others didn't list their size? I had to read the reviews to find out that many were smaller that the pictures indicated. This clock is just what I wanted and it is large enough to read across the room. I found this by accident. I was looking for an Atomic clock which automatically set its own time. This was listed as a radio controlled one. Same thing at $$ less. Lucky me, I found exactly what I wanted and saved a few dollars too.
I like this clock very much, it's a very nice looking clock and very easy to set and large enough to read when sitting any place in my living room. I would suggest this item to any one.
Set up was easy, keeps perfect time. It picks up the radio signals well, at least where I live it does. Numbers are large enough to see from an angle and from across the room. I have mine on the wall but it has nice fold-out wings on the back for use on a desk, etc. Had it about a week before the time change, wondered if it would reset it's self ok but when I got up that Sunday morning it had rolled back an hour just like it was supposed to. Like I said, I like it and the best thing is it makes NO noise.
Although this clock would be great for anyone, I purchased this for my 92 year old mother who sometimes gets confused as to the date and day. This has been a good aid to her.
I was looking for a clock that I could see in the dark - not necessarily 'glow in the dark' but I (mistakingly) thought this clock would have the numbers 'lit' on it's display. I don't think the clock is bad, it's just not what I was looking for - so I am returning it. :-(
We online shoppers have only the picture and the description to go by. I was surprised to receive an item that was not the same as pictured. The clock I received has a European style date (date first then month). The picture showed an American style date (month first). Even the brand name was different. Shown as made by "Elgin". It is in fact "Geneva". Clock works fine. But, please make sure the item is as pictured.
Pros: big number,shows the temperature Cons: after set the time 3pm then in the morning,i saw the time late 3hrs ahead,so i try to turn off the DOST so maybe its the cause of it but it turns back again the 3hrs ahead and not the correct time or my time so whats going on?so i dont like to change and set it again so i just return it,also when i press the set,its so hard or little hard to press and hold..but im glad the returns shipping is free..so thank you for that..
