The base feels solid in your hands but isn't heavy enough to make using it difficult. The buttons on it are large and easy-to-use. It comes with both a carving blade assembly and a bread blade assembly. The knife is also easy to take apart and clean. There is very little effort required to cut through items using this. The cuts are clean and you can get quite thin slices if you wish. My family will get good out of this rechargeable knife for many years.
