Elmer's is the first name in all-purpose glue. Good for paper, glass, plastic, wood, and other light and minor repairs.
this rubber will dry up after opening it and keep for more than two years.vbest to use as reasonable as needs.
It's rubbery, it's a glue (that's the cement part). It's been around forever. It still works the same as it always did. I use it for two main purposes. One is to seal the flaps of handmade envelopes and moving masks around for multi-media projects, because you can still reposition the pieces if they end up a little wonky or you change your mind about where you want them. The second use is as a resist in various arts and crafts. For instance, say I want to protect some text from other colors I'm painting onto a card. If I cover the text with Rubber Cement, then I can paint over the text (after the Rubber Cement has dried a bit), and then rub off the Rubber Cement after the paint has dried. The price for this size bottle is excellent!
seems I have used this for 70 years. for school days projects, mounting paper and photos, shoes repair and much more. never fails
Great product for fine craft projects where you don't want to see spots on your paper. Wrinkle free. Strong odor. Not kid friendly. Will dry out easily so keep cap tightly closed.
I love using Elmers Rubber Cement for my projects. I create miniature scenes and I use Elmers to place my “carpets” and “wallpaper” inside my clear boxes. I also use it to place heavier pieces like mirrors and framed art. My only concern is with it drying too quickly as I am not as fast placing my miniature pieces in the “scenes” I create. Also it is paramount that you keep the lid screwed on securely to prevent the product from drying out.
I love how easy it is to remove if you make a mistake or have too much glue coming out the edges, SUPER EASY!
this type of glue is so easy to use and is easy to remove later from the item you have glued if you change your mind or want to move to another location.
I used Elmer's Rubber Cement for binding books. Elmer's is a brand I trust to work the first time and is consistant in their product. It dries clear and if applied thin, it dries fast but items are still repositionable. Good product.
Usually works but I bought it to stick down foam shelf paper and it did not stick the foam to the wood shelves. I will continue to use it for paper to tag board or cardboard projects.
