Easy to assemble. You need a screwdriver to set the mounting stand and no other tools needed. The monitor is light weight and adjusts angle of the monitor easily. It comes with an HDMI cable so plug and play. You know I really didn't look at the instructions so funny I could see the power light at the bottom of the screen. I tried pushing the light to turn on…the buttons are aligned with the lights but on the back side. Anyway, I hooked to a docking station for my laptop to add another screen. It is so easy to use multiple screens so you can work with multiple documents etc. This monitor provides a thin, clear, sharp color and clean large enough screen to add to your current monitors or be the only monitor.
Monitor is light and easy to put together. No issues with shipping or how it comes packed. Everything was in great working order. This monitor is part of a three screen work rig and fits in great. Clear picture, refresh rate isn't bad for what it costs, and I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a great deal but not willing to sacrifice quality.
I needed a second monitor to hook to my laptop for working at home. The size, performance, and price were just right for my needs. It even came with an HDMI cable.
I am pretty impressed with this monitor for ematic. The photo quality is actually pretty clear and vibrant. I have found that the black point is lacking. Basically, on a black or very dark screen, it's pixelated. It's not a huge deal considering the price point of this particular monitor. Also, the “motion” isn't as smooth as say a gaming monitor is. There is one hdmi port and the power port. There is also that port with the pins.. I'm guessing that's for internet? I just used this with my fire stick and it's awesome. Can watch movies or browse the internet without a bulky tower. The hdmi cord is included so that's nice. Setup is super easy. Just attach the base and you're ready to go. I was a TINY bit confused about turning it on, but the buttons are on the back of the monitor. For an every day monitor, I would recommend this one on a budget. It's a nice size, the viewing angle is adjustable, sleek/light weight. The picture quality is GOOD. would be best for surfing the web and reading emails and such. Wouldn't recommend for graphics and gaming if you're serious about those thing.
The Ematic 20" Wide HD LED Monitor is a decent quality computer monitor. The monitor is equipped with a plastic stand that seems adequately sturdy and which can be used to somewhat tilt the monitor forward or backward to accommodate one's viewing preferences. The monitor, however, cannot be tilted in other directions. The screen resolution is 1600 x 900 pixels and the image brightness is 200 CD per m2, which produces a good quality, though not outstanding, image. The monitor has controls to adjust its brightness, contrast, image position, and other settings, but there are no instructions on exactly how to move among and select the options, which necessitates a frustrating trial-and-error process. Ultimately it can be figured out and most users are unlikely to frequently change the settings, but some simple instructions would be preferable. The monitor has ports for both VGA and HDMI cables, and one of the latter (about six feet long) is included, so it can be connected to various computer, digital, and analog devices. The power cable is about five feet long, so it enables a good degree of flexibility in where the monitor can be placed away from the power outlet. The monitor is not Energy Star compliant.
It's perfect for my use. It could be a little brighter though which is the only reason I give it 4 stars. I like how the stand sits up a little higher, and it doesn't have a bright light flashing when my computer is sleep.
Is HDMI compatible. Has good color. Lack of display port and inclusion of VGA instead of DVI was disappointing. Assembly of monitor base was a little strange. Not a terrible product but not the best either.
It didn't even get to my house
I would like to give a zero star for this product but I am unable to. I am utterly displeased with this product. It has stopped working in just a month since I purchased it. The screen started sporadically going black a couple of weeks ago but since yesterday it has gone completely black. I have tried everything to get it to work but it isn't working. I would like to return this and get my money back! I am disappointed that Walmart would carry such a piece of junk.
This monitor worked great for the first 4 months before it died on me. Unfortunately, it only had a 3 month warranty. So, ofcourse they wont take it back so now I have more to give to the recycling center. DO NOT PURCHASE!
