The unit arrived on time (even with delayed shipping due to COVID-19). It was well-packed and easy to setup. I am using it in a basement with a dirt floor (old house with stone foundation). It works great! I didn't expect it to bring the humidity low since I have age and deterioration going against me, but the unit performs exceptionally well. I am emptying the bucket twice a day, while running the unit on continuous. So far, my humidity has dropped from 90% to 74%, and this has been with very heavy rains in the area.
Shipped to store. Very happy with purchase. So far, so good. Would definitely buy from Emerson again if need be. Thank you.
I love the wheels, so I can move from room to room. Seems to work great in my basement.
The only problem I see is that the collection bucket is difficult to clean but I guess it's the same with most dehumidifiers. Other than that, it's quiet and efficient.
It does a good job removing excess moisture from the air. However, the bucket handle function is horrible. Basically, while you can carry the bucket by the handle, you must be quite careful to keep it level. Otherwise, the handle will disengage from the bucket, leaving you with a messy clean-up. I have owned many dehumidifiers, and have never encountered this problem before. It's why I cannot rate this 5 stars.
It seems to work well. I had only two speeds, not three speeds as listed. I use it in my basement so not having a very quiet speed is not a problem.
Unit works well, is fairly light and moveable. Plastic case seems fairly light weight, so I take good care when I pull and empty the "bucket". Sound level on either setting is pretty high. I don't think we could have it in the bedroom at night. Fortunately it draws out enough moisture that we don't run it at night.
I did alot of research before buying this unit which included other websites including Emerson website. The reason for choosing this unit it is advertised as 3 speed fan but unit received only has 2 speeds. 3 speed fan gives better control. Only used for a week so far and the unit is quiet than expected and doesn't put out as much heat as expected. It does do good at taking humidity out of my home. Only reason for low rating is not sold as advertised and I could have spent less for a 2 speed unit.
instruction book is difficult to understand,it doesn't make sense in some sentences .Therefore I have no idea if I've gotten settings right.tell it like it is
The vertical pump on this dehumidifier does not work. Very disappointing. This is the second unit we ordered and decided to just keep it since the dehumidifier works, it just doesn't pump the water to the drain. We have to empty the bucket all the time. We are just tired of returning it and have had no success with contacting the manufacturer. Again, very disappointing.
