Featuring two air controls and ultra quiet fans, the Cryogen keeps your pc from overheating, providing a critical performance boost when it counts. Two dial controls on the side of the Cryogen offer fine control of the two sets of fans. One dial controls the two large 13cm while the other dial controls the three 7cm fans in the center of the pad. This level of control lets you customize air flow depending on your laptop and how it dissipates heat. Additionally, you can adjust the sound from fans by adjusting and differing the speeds of each of the sets of fans. The slim profile is great for portability and travel. The front bumper can be removed and stored away in the backside, reducing it to the size of a slim textbook. In this form, it can be stored in backpacks, bags, and suitcases without much trouble. The front metal mesh is durable enough to hold up any size laptop and helps evenly distribute airflow throughout the laptops surface.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The center fans line up with the vents underneath my lap top but the side fans don't. I have an older 15" laptop that fills the 17" max platform. That's kinda strange in my opinion. It's also impossible to tell what the fan speeds are or what way you need to turn the dial to make it faster. My laptop still runs pretty hot so I'm not sure it's really doing anything to help cook it off. Pretty disappointed with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the price this item is great, but it would be nice if the surface area that my X17 R2 sits on would be made with a non slip surface and the lighting fx would be much more visible. My bigest issue is that the specs for this cooling pad says that it fits 17" laptops and that is not entirely true.
