I bought 12 bags of the chocolate chips. They fit into a restrictive diet I am following right now due to their simple and natural ingredients. Plus, the uncle taste great! I use them to bake with but I'll also eat them rights out of the bag. It's great to have a healthy chocolate snack while dieting.
It's hard to find GOOD tasting substitutes for food allergies but this brand has nailed it. These chocolate chips taste amazing and for the first time in years I was able to make AND eat chocolate chip cookies which are one of my favorite cookies. If you didn't know you would not know the difference. It's very isolating socially to not be able to eat what everyone else is enjoying but this brand has allowed me to enjoy treats again. My 2 year old grandson suffers from several food allergies. I use this product to make him cookies and other treats without worrying that he will ingest something that is harmful to him. Safe baby, happy Granny!
My son has several food allergies and finding these chocolate morsels to bake chocolate chip cookies was a lifesaver. I combine the mini morsels and the chunks and once a week I make a batch of cookies. Great flavor.
When I tell people what I eat and what is not in their food they always question me: "what do you eat?" As if there is nothing left to eat! They are Amway surprised and impressed with how GOOD vegan (And allergen friendly) good is! If I had said nothing, they would have never noticed the difference, aside from the great quality of Enjoylifefoods!
I love popping in a palm-full as a quick snack, or in the bottom of my espresso cup before brewing it. I haven't baked much with them, though when I have they've behaved just like the other brands.
My grandkids absolutely love these as special treats! They have gluten sensitivity and are allergic to dairy, so getting to eat a chocolate treat is very special for them! We also add them to gluten/dairy free muffins.
The shipping was really fast! Every time I order they get the product out quickly and it always arrives quicker than I expect. My daughter has a very sever peanut allergy and is allergic to several tree nuts. This chocolate is great, we all love it!
Are these chips supposed to be almost white in color? The expiration date is 3-2018, but not sure about the color...
My family is a huge fan of the EL mini semi sweet chocolate chips but were surprised when we found the packaging had changed (from a yellow bag to blue) Thinking it was just cosmetic we bought a few bags but after trying them and thinking they seemed...off...somehow, were incredibly disappointed to find THE INGREDIENTS HAD CHANGED(?!) WHAT?! NOoO! WHHHYYY???? It seems they've removed the non alcoholic liquor and evaporated cane juice, which gave it a nice crunch and sweetness in favor of cane sugar :( They taste different and sort of gummy in texture now. Also, curiously they've gone from "non dairy" cocoa butter to simply "cocoa butter" ... not sure what that means. Sincerely hoping Enjoy Life is not phasing out the "old but gold" version. If so, they've lost some customers. I would only recommend the yellow bag version.
