For $100 this is really a sweet deal amazing action great sound didn't really need to adjust the truss rod that much. All in all solid guitar for someone looking for just a beater guitar or is learning.
This was a gift for my hubby and I ordered the ebony. The shipping was fast and came in a large, very sturdy box. Inside, the guitar was well packaged and protected. The guitar itself is very nice though I will say the ebony shows every smudge and fingerprint but that's to be expected with that color choice. I was impressed with the stand, so much so that we ordered another one for my sons guitar. The tuner is small and works surprisingly well. It makes tuning this very easy! I guess the only thing that wasn't impressive was the disc it came with. It would have been nice if it were a dvd but it is a computer cd, so my hubby would have to sit in our small office to use it...but that might be fine for other people. All in all I couldn't be happier with this, especially for the price!
Was pleasantly surprised when I opened the carefully wrapped guitar. It's beautiful and unbelievable quality for the price. The photo posted here doesn't do it justice. The finish on the guitar is gorgeous. This is my first guitar and after opening it - I did some research on the manufacturer and again was impressed with the history of the company. Am planning on buying another guitar for my grand-daughter.
I really like this guitar
Guitar has a good sound and beautiful finish. My granddaughter loves it!
A great guitar to move around with, rich sound and quality for the price, it really did surprise me.Plus the bag, tuner, and stand was an added bonus...Great deal..
Ephiphone guitars lives up to its name- a good sound & high quality guitar that comes with a guitar stand, strap, soft case, tuner and guitar lessons. Was hesitant to order a guitar online but was astonished when it arrived, the guitar had a nice wood quality, the finish/color was amazing and i had no trouble tunning it and the best part is that it really sounded great you wouldnt believe it cost less than $150. great starter guitar, sounds great. the only thing is once tuned up there was string and had to loosen the truss rod by a 1/4 turn. a true beginner would not be able to make an adjustment like that. so the guitar will need to be setup by a shop, but no guitar is really setup out of the box. plays an sounds great. I have the ebony and is a beautiful guitar. I am used to an electric guitar so the action is a little high for me. still a great budget guitar. would recommend this to anyone.
Guitar was defective, I couldn't tune the last two cords, I took it to a professional guitar tuner and I was told the guitar needed a complete tune up and inspection that was going to cost me $55. I returned the guitar and bought a better one at guitar center and get it tune for free.
My first Epiphone package in spruce came adjusted and very close to tuned. Then I ordered the package in ebony and it was so far out of adjustment that it could not be tuned. I returned it and purchased another ebony and it came the same way. According to Epiphone, all their guitars come adjusted. To have to pay extra and travel 60 miles to have it adjusted just wasn't worth it, so I returned this one also. I told them I would purchase another one if it came even somewhat adjusted, but they were only interested in refunding my money. Too bad.
