Unfortunately diuretics and statins can have skin and eyelid tissues side effects. This product creates a protective moisture barrier and soothing treatment for effected inner eyelids in my case when gently smeared by clean fingers on inner eyelids like mascara.
My ophthalmologist told me to use R****** PM, but it was so expensive, and I couldn't find it even online. So I asked the pharmacist what other brand or generic would provide the exact same thing. There are a number of choices, but they don't all have the same active ingredients. My doctor agreed that it was acceptable. I've been bothered by dry eyes a long time and this was something new to try. It's a little tricky at first when putting it in your eye because it wants to roll out but after a few times you'll get it. It doesn't burn at all - it's painless. It does make your eyesight a little blurry at first. But it has worked quite well. My eyes are doing better. They are less dry, scratchy, red and don't burn nearly as much. It's meant to be used at night so I suggest you use it just before going to sleep. I've been using it for a month now and have seen a good improvement. The best part besides helping your eyes is that it's so much cheaper by about three and a half. The is a great product and value.
This product has the same active and inactive ingredients in the relatively same percentages as Refresh PM and costs a few dollars less. The opening at the end of the tube is slightly smaller than Refresh PM. Refresh PM was out of stock, so I tried this Equate product. I've been using it for about a week, and it's been working just fine for me. I'll probably stick with it and save a few bucks.
I've been fighting severe dry eye with all the corn dust aggravating my allergies. I also have Graves Disease so my eyes are just itchy and dry and uncomfortable. This stays in all night and my eyes have felt better during the day since I started using this.
My Optometrist said to preserve my vision, use lubricating eye ointment every night. My eyes are sensitive and no matter how much I paid, the brands I tried burned. Out of desperation I tried Equate's version and it works wonders without hurting me. I wish I tried these first, could've saved myself $ and misery.
my son had two cornea transplants. we use three tubes a week. yours eqate dry eye ointment, has almost the same ingredients as refresh pm.. No other is close. you have been out for weeks, you're also out of refresh pm. I am Desperate for your help. How long till they are back in stock?? pls let me know
I received an email from Walmart about a recall for this product. With that email in hand, I tried to get a refund from my local store, but the clerk, after conferring with several people, said Walmart does not take recalled items back. The manufacturer is not responsive to my email! I would like my money refunded!
I paid for this and did a curbside pickup by my clients hours whom I only work for on the weekends. I started this order because I really needed this eye lubricant. Well this was literally the only ITEM NOT in the bags. I don't even know where I can discus it with a store associate. I am so sad
The product is being recalled due to lack of sterility assurance at the facility noted during an inspection conducted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). I have to get my money back now.
I got an email from Walmart saying this is item has been recalled, but I saw news reports about the issue long before I purchased the ointment. Confused about whether they sold this after the recall, or when it was clear there was a problem but an official recall had not been issued yet. Either way, bad move Walmart.
