I use these instead of Zaditor and can't tell the difference. They are just as effective and aren't as expensive. I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and have very sensitive eyes and skin. Ketotifen is a strong antihistamine (H1) that helps year round with allergens. I use these drops and wait a few minutes before I put in my contacts and they work great.
These drops used to need a prescription to purchase. Over the counter availability makes it easy to obtain. When allergies make eyes itchy, scratchy or even blurs your vision a bit, one drop in each eye daily makes a world of difference. Depending on how severe your symptoms are, it may clear up during the first day. Using a few days in a down will eliminate for me, the symptoms. Allergy Eye drops tend to dry your eyes so don't use more than once daily. After a while I skip a day then use a few days again. I always use drops in the morning due to the drying effect on my eye.
Very good product, I can't tell the difference between this and the name brand product. The price difference is tremendous. Allergy season is daily for me, since I'm allergic to my pets:) Therefore I use this on a weekly basis. I recommend this product.
I use these drops a lot. I have bad allergies. These drops are a life saver. A retina specialist, (ophthalmologist) told me to get eye drops with Ketotifen to stop the itching and rubbing of eyes. It works like a charm! I've tried all the name brands and this works equal if not better.
This is the eye drops my eye doctor at Walmart recommended. I went in for what I thought was pink eye, but turned out to be irritation from my sinuses. These do the job for my goupy allergy eyes every morning!
I bought this while waiting on a refill from my doctors. (refill takes 10-14 days by mail). I have always had relief from itching/redness/or swelling within 30 seconds to a minute. I use it twice a day (12 hrs apart). Shaken for at least 30 seconds, per docs instructions to mix ingredients. For those who say the medicine burns, it's not the medicine, it's your eyes. They are already irritated. Anything you put in them will cause the same issue, even briefly.
I bought this product because my optometrist recommended the name brand and I have found equate products to be equal to name brand and much more economical. I was not disappointed. They really work with once a day use. The weepiness and itch I was still dealing with using another allergy eye drop has ceased.
The worst part of hay fever for me is itchy eyes... this really helps. It causes a little stinging, but stops the itching, and stinging goes away quickly. I will always have them on hand!
this works okay, there is a bit of a difference between this and zaditor though being that the zaditor works better. the store brand though has gotten way too expensive though especially since it's a store brand, wish they would lower it back down more to what it used to cost years ago.
Purchased this product. Opened safety seal and found the lid full of mold.
