My wife has irritable bowel so she uses this when she eats FODMAPS. More enzyme per capsule than Beano and much cheaper. There are a lot of bowel/gas products out there so read ingredients and know what they do for your body. Everyone needs to do their homework to figure out what works for your body. We are all different.
Perfect price for a quality product and for a reasonable amount of said product, and it actually WORKS!!! I promise I will never purchase them anywhere else again…you're my 1 stop shop and I couldn't be happier!!!
This product is for individuals that have stomach issues eating carbohydrates. The active ingredient is Alpha-galactosidase that helps breakdown items like beans, broccoli, cabbage, etc. You take one small capsule prior to eating. I personally take it 5-10 mins before I eat and do not have any bloating or gas from eating carbs. The price for a 100 count bottle is half the price of Beano. They both have the same ingredient so If you are looking to save $$, I recommend the Equate brand.
I am grateful for the Equate Gas Relief and Prevention Enzyme Dietary Supplement, 100 count. I have no ability to digest beans! Brand name Beano is very expensive. The Equate version is extremely affordable and I usually buy several boxes at a time. I have used thos products more than 10 years. Very helpful
To eat healthy, I have a lot of vegetables that can cause gas. I much prefer to prevent the gas with a naturally-occurring enzyme than try and treat gas with a man-made chemical after-the-fact. The active ingredient in this product is the same as that in Beano and has never been known to have any adverse side effects. It comes in a much more convenient capsule form, equal to 4 Beano tablets (for 2 servings of problematic vegetables) and is much less expensive than the Beano brand products. Keep this product!
Great product. Our daughter is diabetic and has a feeding tube. Her formula creates a lot of gas and she requires 3 of these tablets per meal to keep her stomach from swelling, that means 12 per day for her So we appreciate that this product works well and is value priced. Thanks Wal-Mart !!
I have never used Beano so I don't have anything to compare this to. I will say that it works though. My body has trouble digesting many different foods and it cases extreme stomach issues. Adding to that having gastric paralysis and it's a recipe for disaster. Taking this has helped relieve so many of my symptoms, I am not longer sick every single time that I eat. Definitely thankful for having found this product.
IBS is a misery. There seems to be no medication for it. The FODMAP diet helps. These little pills help me. They do stop the " reaction" to onion, whole wheat, etc. The only problem is feeling normal and skipping the pills. At the doctor's office, they are skeptical, but this works for me.
This is a good product. Each pill equals 2 Beano pills which is the advised dosage. Each 100 of these pills equals 200 Beanos. These pills are great for anything that causes gas like poorly prepared beans where the soak water is not drained off, sometimes broccoli, cucumbers.
I take these before eating certain foods. I know it says take immediately before but I have had better luck by taking them about 10 minutes before eating.
